Claim Jumper Steakhouse Tukwila, Wa

I live about 45 mins north of this Claim Jumper, but my fiance and I were meeting his sister here for dinner because she was in Tukwila for work, but had driven in from eastern WA shortly before we met up. So, it was a bit surprising when we entered the restaurant and were waiting to be acknowledged by the employees there and were completely ignored by them. A guy came in after us and the tall, white man in his 40's who was working behind the counter (I think he was a waiter immediately greeted him. Wanted to give this place a try for awhile and finally had the chance. Have a roadhouse steakhouse feel. We were quickly seated. Picked out our selections. We went with the house salad, clam chowder. Lobster sandwich and streak (I believe it was ribeye asked for medium rare). Frankly all the dishes were disappointing except the salad. The chowder had barely any clams. It was just salty. Not much of any flavors. The sandwich came without cutting as pet the waiter said they come whole. Not cut. Not how the picture shows it. A lot of sauce but had about 2 small chunks of lobster meat. I had a great dining experience overall at this restaurant. There were plenty of food and drink options, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, to choose from. Even the most selective eaters will find something they enjoy. The restaurant was very clean with a nice ambiance and music selection. The portions of food were huge, and I couldn't finish all of my meal so I needed to get to-go containers for both my entree and dessert. The Chocolate Motherload Cake was massive, enough for a family of four. The only downside was that the wait time for our food was a bit slow. Despite this, we are still planning on returning in the future because of the other positive aspects of our dining experience.

This restaurant is okay. The service is mediocre and the restaurant seems to have lost its identity after the COVID-19 mandates. This location lacks effort and creativity in response to shortages, with many items on the menu being unavailable. The waitresses are friendly, and the drinks and appetizers are good. The food is cooked well enough, and the kitchen does a good job. While there are worse places in the area, this restaurant stands out as slightly better, although it no longer offers a buffet. I haven't been to the Clam Jumper for quite some time, They have made a few changes to their food that are fine, but not great. My mom had chicken fried steak. This used to be one big piece of hand breaded chicken. Unfortunately, it was clear that it was prepared elsewhere, frozen, and cooked at the restaurant. My salad was very good. Service was excellent!

We chose to sit in the bar, which made the wait time shorter, which was great. The food came out fairly quickly, as well as the drinks. However, our server was a bit slow, perhaps due to the busyness or being short-staffed. Overall, the service was fine. The food was average for a chain restaurant - nothing special, but nothing went wrong either.

Our server Jennifer treated us very well giving us time to eat after quickly getting our food to us. She was very kind and made this restaurant feel very welcoming. The lobster mac and cheese and lobster BLT were worth getting and tasted amazing. We were too full for dessert but we will be back here soon. :

Absolutely worth it! Delicious food, fantastic service, cold beer! We had a table for 4, seated immediately, and served very quickly! The food was all very flavorful and appealing to look at! This place is delicious! The wedge salad is great and the chicken is perfect. Its one of my favorite restaurants for a nice sit down dinner. Wonderful atmosphere and the staff is super. Wish it was closer to my home so I could eat here more often.

Made reservations online and was seated very quickly. Staff is amazing and food drinks are very good also.. Prices are not to bad depending on what you order. Portion are good sized and you can share also.
