We wanted to check this place out as we saw an article about it and wanted to support a local restaurant. The food lacked flavoring, the timing of the food was bad, the restaurant was hot and for the price we were not impressed. We ordered two appetizers, a kids hot dog and a sandwich and a burger. Only one person is taking orders and making drinks, so we definitely had to wait a while to place the order. Unfortunately, the two appetizers came out AFTER we finished our meal, and the response was oh sorry about thay. Order the Hot Italian. Really didn't care for it. I usually love an Italian sandwich. I thought the meat was too thick. The lady work the counter was kind and sweet, but service is really slow. Ordered takeout and they also forgot my order of fries. Luckily I had a friend still there waiting on his order who brought it to me so I didn't have to drive back. To be fair, everyone else enjoyed their food. Some of my other friends ordered the chicken sandwich and the meatloaf sandwich. But I didn't really care for mine. The place was really cute though and the atmosphere was nice. Just super slow on making sandwiches at lunch time.
Portion: Great. Sandwiches were STUFFED! Quality: Great taste, tender meat Price: Good, plan to spend about $15-20 a person Service: Everyone was friendly with smile. Food reviews: I got the pastrami. It was DELICIOUS but...I didn't like the #44 mustard sauce. It overwhelmed the bbq sauce. It was so strong. It tastes like horseradish. I would say take that off or soften the sauce a bit. The chicken sandwich has COLD chicken on it. This through us off. Fries were thick with parmesan. Great! I'd go back! Good job Claytons.
This was my second time eating here. I got the Butter Burger, fries and the chili. The buger was very juicy and favorable. The bun and ingredients was fresh. The chili was packed with big chuncks of beef. The fries however were a little dry and the heat was more room temperature. I do recommend this place and I'll try their breakfast next.
