My wife and I visited last evening for our tea as we had a hankering for fish and chips and were advised this was the place to go! The fish was fantastic with a crispy crunchy batter and enormous in size , chips were ample portions for two people easily and proper mushy peas! The lady who served us however left us feeling thoroughly annoyed , (spoke with an accent) she was rude, abrupt and I am assuming she was having a bad day because the other lady’s seemed lovely!? Keep up the good work with the food guys but you may want to speak with your staff!
Good fish and chips at good prices! The staff can be a bit grumpy, but it's a takeaway so that isn't really an issue. The menus on display place doesn't always show all the options available, so it's best to check online. Halloumi comes in different options; as fingers or battered and others. Monday 3rd October not enough staff to cope with the number of customers. Appear to be overwhelmed with delivery orders to the detriment of in store customers. Best fish and chips for miles around. Large portions, good price. Initially, we were willing to wait for what we were informed would be a quick delivery, but we became increasingly frustrated when 30 minutes elapsed and the staff completely ignored us while they joked around. We were the only customers in the shop. Eventually, we decided to give up and went to Simpsons in Cheltenham for delicious fish and chips and excellent service.
i have been having Fish and chips from Cleeve fish bar for a fair time and also trying other fish chips in the cheltenham area none of them has a been a patch on the Cleeve bar at Bishops cleeve especially when you order a large fish and a large portion of chips the large fish is excellent lighty battered and the chips enough for three people well worth a visit David W
I have never had fish and chips that I would prefer. I live in another country and Bishops Cleeve fish and chips is the first meal any of my family have when in the UK, always.
