Cleveland Sands hotel

With a group of friends, visited the outdoor area, under umbrellas, but the sun was welcome in a typical Queensland Winter, that is 25 degrees in the shade. We ordered a mix of couscous and lentil salads, lasagna (sand crab), moreton bay bug sliders and smoked salmon. Otherwise a broad range of steaks, tapas styleshares available. All meals served were decorative in presentation and flavourful with a breezy service, but not too breezy from the nearby bay. Extensive range of drinks with, intriguingly wine from the tap, that no one was brave enough to take up. A place locals and visitors would previously avoid is now a focal point for Cleveland. For a start the renovations undertaken have transformed this ugly ducking into a pretty swan. The Sands is now an enjoyable place to eat, drink and kick back and listen to the world go by with a little acoustic accompaniment from the bard of the day. The food on the menu is well thought out and suits the entire family, from the carnivorous meat eater who demands STEAK at all costs to the connoisseur of seafood, or the vegetarian of the group. And the kids aren't missing out either with drinks and dessert thrown into their ample selection.To a fault the staff are polite and helpful and make a visit enjoyabl...

Had the Sand crab lasagne for $26.. the lasagne was very nice for something different. It came with a green salad which was pretty average, would have loved to of had fresh tomato, cucumber, carrots etc but it was mostly just rocket n a dash of dressing. There was also a quarter of empty space on my plate, i honestly don't understand why this isn't filled with at least a serving of chips. In the past I've had the Moreton bay bug truffle sliders.. also overpriced and not very satisfying unfortunately.Would like to see generous servings and better bang for your buck here... after all, it is ultimately a pub.Service average.Might return in a few to see if any improvements have been applied

Since my last visit the Cleveland Sands has had a facelift and is now looking clean, lean and sophisticated. Clean bright colours, plenty of tables both protected and open to the outdoors.The food was excellent, six platters all came out together and were all delicious and had us fighting to make sure we got our share. Dishes were fresh, interesting, bright, well presented and all at a reasonable price. Service was great, with smiley waitresses who couldn't do enough for us. Plenty of parking in the huge carpark next door, easy ramp access too should it be required. We will certainly go back on our next visit. Reserva una mesa ahora

Recently visited twice as the venue was ideal for our large group and offered a variety of well priced meals. The meals presented were well cooked including steaks and seafood; however we felt a bit tight on serving sizes. Returned later in the week (Saturday) hoping for a late feed unfortunately once the kitchen closes nothing is available to eat. For a busy weekend night we were very surprised that a late night menu of basic meals were not available. The back verandah area was a great relaxed venue to sit and talk with friends. Staff friendly and as helpful as they could be.

Nice food but a bar that has no wine glasses ....I was asked to look in fridge to pick a wine there was a wine list ..... but not in bar told to go into another area Not much better in restaurant meal on table before I was told that didn't have wine that I ordered from wine list .....Come on Coles ..........train your staff

Excellent staff , very modern , lovely food . During our visit to Raby Bay we had a meal here twice , could not fault the service or the food , nothing was a problem. Would highly recommend having dinner here

Has been renovated since I was last there - is very nice you can sit inside out side. Food is also on offer if you chose. Very nice, clean and modern Reserva una mesa ahora

This hotel has a big restaurant with a large selection of dishes, including their hand stretched pizza. Very nice setting and good service

Lucas the new guy was fabulous we are totally impressed. Need more people like him in the world. Great service and needs a promotion
