I love cold stone and I hate to give a negative review. I usually frequent a few of there local stores. Today I went to the Valrico location which is closest to my house. It wasn't too busy and the staff as always was super friendly. I ordered two scoops of pistachio and one of cheesecake. Not mixed but separate scoops in the container.. so I notice as that as they are working the ice cream on the cold table that there are zero nuts in it.. huh? Not one speck of a pistachio.. After dinner, on my way back I noticed some lights from the street and recognized that it was a coldstone. Tampa is uber-muggy at times and nothing sounded better than some strawberry blonde ice cream! This review is largely influenced by the chocolate milkshake I ordered. I've previously visited a Cold Stone Creamery and enjoyed their excellent ice cream and unique concept. However, the large chocolate milkshake I had this time was just mediocre—less satisfying than those from McDonald's, Burger King, or Campbell's Dairy Isle, lacking both thickness and flavor. To make matters worse, the large size came in a 6-inch tall plastic cup and cost over $6. While I encountered two young ladies working there who were friendly and attentive, I still felt that the prices were excessive for what I received. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for this type of establishment.
Cold Stone Creamery has achieved a unique charm typically associated with family-run ice cream shops, despite being a chain. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by delightful seasonal ice cream scents that are absolutely amazing—I highly recommend giving them a try! They offer free samples of any flavor, which is a great way to explore the menu. I've had my share of ice cream experiences, and Cold Stone ranks among the best. While the largest size costs around $7.50, you definitely get your money's worth here. The staff is friendly, the ice cream is delicious, and there’s a lovely spot to enjoy your treat in the sun. What more could anyone ask for?

The birthday ice-cream cakes I ordered from this location were delicious. However, the personal size red velvet cake I ordered had very little cake at the bottom; it was more of a frozen ice-cream dessert than a cake! I recently visited Cold Stone Creamery and had a great experience. An employee named Caroline took my order, and I was impressed by her professionalism, patience, and politeness. Worst service at any ice cream shop in the entire Bloomingdale and Brandon area. I haven't ever not had a problem or slow service anytime I come in here, which is a shame because it's right down the street from the house.
This restaurant consistently offers a friendly and clean atmosphere. I know they can get busy, but that's not something they can control. I always enjoy delicious, fresh ice cream from this spot.
