If asked to describe Combine Bros, I would say, It 's like an Italian restaurant and a sports bar had a baby. The vibe is all sports bar, with TVs everywhere, and it has a very interesting menu with lots of Italian dishes. What we had tasted good, and everything we saw come past our table was a huge portion. All of our meals would have easily made 2-3 meals. The eggplant parmesan was fresh and not breaded and fried, which was a welcome change. The pizza is interesting. The crust is neither thin nor thick, but somewhere in the middle. A kind of spongy, chewy dough, with a slightly sweet tomato sauce covered with a ton of cheese. This used to be our go-to . Unfortunately, this last visit wasn't up to their normal standards. Usually, there is a wait but not on this Saturday around 430pm. Odd ! Seated right away, the waitress was fantastic! The food not so much. One meal was a build your own pasta. I selected a chicken breast with mine. The pasta and sauce were good, chicken was rubbery, and no flavor. Another meal was a hamburger, ordered medium cooked. Arrived charred, dry and no flavor. I didn't think a burger was that difficult. The last meal was the spicy clam soup. I'm glad some things don't change. Still delicious! The prices remain the same, but not the portions, much smaller. I hope this was just a bad day for...
So you're thinking... western PA, maybe they can't even spell Salt. This is gonna be eh... oh my goodness. The tomato sauce has tons of garlic and was delicious. The pizza was terrific too. Brewed not instant tea. Only complaint was, the food descriptions ... individual size isn't a 15 inch pizza! They were very very generous with portions. Is that even a complaint?
We haven't been there in years. They finally got some good wine. The food is always good. The home made dinner rolls were fabulous. Naturally the food is great but difficult to understand the menu. Too many choices to order spaghetti or ziti etc. They give you a very generous portion .

Very nice place came to have lunch, which was great. Ended up having great conversation and basically making a friend. The staff was great, I definitely recommend.
Have gone there often. Last time we were there, they sat us in the noiseist part of the restaurant. Food was marginal and service was mediocre.
We were in town staying at a hotel and got this for takeout. The food was great, but very big portions. We could have definitely shared.
They serve excellent pasta. I suggest adding salmon to the meat options.
