The Commun Da Fein Hotel, known as “The Commo” by Geelong locals, is a fantastic local pub with seriously good pub grub. This place is packed with youngies and oldies every day of the week, so you need to book early to get in. We had the fish and chips and an eye fillet steak. The fish was flake and superbly cooked. Crisp batter, and the flake was immaculate, fresh and tasty. The eye fillet, medium rare with pepper sauce, was mouth wateringly good and cooked to perfection too. The wine list was acceptable but could do with a slightly broader selection. PROS<br/ Awesome little find when you just want yummy and reliable pub food.ordered the lemon pepper calamari and fish and chips mains and at under $40 including drinks,we had a feast.(pics attached) perfect calamari! friendly and professional service and speedy ordering/ meals to table.the menu had a lot of vegetarian options as well as fish options.<br/ <br/ CONS<br/ Basic decor inside, but comfortable. some may say it's a con that you have to grab your cutlery and napkins but i really don't care.<br/ <br/ FYI<br/ There's a pub next store and private parking on the property<br/

Tucked away in quiet suburban location., went to lunch here on Sunday for my 1 year anniversary with my girlfriend. There's not much open on Sunday in Geelong, so we decided to try out one of the pubs. We ordered Herb &amp; Cheese Bread, Eggplant Parma &amp; Battered Barramundi. Portions were generous and the food was excellent. Very well priced as well. We will be back for sure!

Nice affordable meals that will fill you up unlike other places I've been where you do a maccas run afterwards. Liked it very much had beer battered fish chips and salad couldn't finish it. Only draw back is they need to say if they grill the steak on the menu. Partner wasnt happy with his and also didnt like the frozen vegie mix he had on his. Reserva una mesa ahora

What can I say, not too often do I order steak, but this time I am glad I did. It was cooked to perfection.Not only that, the food was hot when it came to the table. Very rare.Great customer service also.Thanks

Eye fillet was as good as Vlados in Richmond. Service was great as well and friendly. Wine selection could be improved, range of other meals also looked great. Wish I was 150kms closer to eat here more often.

Decor modern but nothing flash but food def great (had a large group); very helpful staff. Would def recommend Some of the dishes we had: fish tacos, paella, Parma, Cajun chicken

Went for my partner's birthday with his family, the ambience was decent as was the food, service was really fast considering how many many were there before we arrived.

Busy place but the service was really quick. Great value meals that were too big to finish. We had crumbed calamari, enchilada and risotto. All excellent.
