Recess Eats Downstairs

I'm not sure how to review the recess bar upstairs given the upstairs area is closed for renovations and they are still taking bookings for it, to then notify you on arrival that upstairs isn't an option. They have an upstairs option and a downstairs option when booking, just remove the one that's not available instead of baiting customers to come to your venue. Food was great staff were friendly obviously management not too concerned with honesty...

Food was all super delicious! I am coeliac, so really apprecited everything being gluten free. The non-gluten free people also loved all the food. Share style food makes for a lovely evening. We were lucky enough to be upstairs on a Friday night and got a fabulous drag show with dinner. 10/10!

Cocktails and food were amazing! The service was really nice. Only complaint was the smokers outside (where we were sitting) even though there were signs saying no smoking before 9.30pm. Made it hard to breathe as the staff weren’t enforcing this.

Food wasn’t too bad but venue became extremely loud and club like after 8pm. Would book earlier to be able to talk/catch up with friends first befire too loud to hear a thing they say. Drag shows was wonderful though!! Reserva una mesa ahora

I had such an amazing time last night at Recess. All of the staff I spoke with were SO lovely, the food was epic, the vibe was awesome and the performers were so so good!! Absolutely loved it thank you so much!

Good ambience and a great selection of small bites. Food and drink service came out extremely quickly even though it was quite busy.
