what can I say dipped into a cup of tea and ended up with a prawn and cream cheese sandwich and the woman had a ciabatta club. we had to go to a restaurant in the evening to celebrate our jubilee. problem was eating that we had in the babbacombe bay caffe. it was beautiful and so much to fill so that we do not go for the amour jubiläum meal. we complain? No, we are not worth the visit so much so that we return to babbacombe today on Sunday 12. juni 2022 for a cuppa and stayed and had a high tee, so bang goes out sunday roast but we will be worth it. all this was served with care and a courtesy smile of billie who was more than helpful with their local knowing. definitely worth a visit if the...
We initially visited Angels, but the staff there didn't seem very friendly. We decided to try this place instead and immediately enjoyed a much better atmosphere. The staff were welcoming, and the seating was comfortable. They serve a delicious all-day breakfast, which we really liked, along with some great cream tea. Their coffee is above average too, priced at around £3, but definitely worth it. The cream tea was freshly made, and the scones were warm when they arrived. The seating and lighting were lovely, and the outdoor space was beautiful and clean.
The hotel is situated in the most picturesque part of Torquay. It's a fantastic spot for coffee and lunch, complete with a nice selection of wines. The menu features all the classic dishes loved by both locals and visitors to the Riviera, including English breakfast, avocado toast, and a wide variety of pastries and snacks. You'll also find delicious burgers, hearty mushrooms, and fresh breakfast options, along with daily specials and beautifully arranged deli boards.
A very lovely cafe with a nice atmosphere, pleasant staff, good service even though they were busy when we visited for lunch. The prices are a little higher than normal, but you get what you pay for. The quality of the food is very good. I was looking at the other food being delivered to customers, and it was all of a high standard. I will definitely visit again. It would be advisable to book. A visit to this restaurant is essential, especially for the cream tea. The fruit scones were nothing short of perfection, served warm with exquisite tinted cream. To enhance the experience, they paired perfectly with loose leaf tea—not a teabag in sight! Our waiter was incredibly efficient and attentive, ensuring everything was flawless during our visit. In a word: amazing.
