This place is just terrible. Every time I tried to buy something at the bakery I had to wait forever and ever for no reason there's no one there and no one knows the prices of any of the items. The last couple of times I waited so long I had to give up. The service is slow at the table as well, and the servers are entitled. The food is very small portioned and very blunt. One must be very unexposed to think this is a good Italian restaurant. Do yourself a favor and drive somewhere else with real options. THIS IS NOT a good Italian restaurant. I love coming to Convito, so I brought one of my friends who had never been there. I told her what great food they have and that I always enjoyed the experience. True to form, we had a wonderful meal, good service and an enjoyable time. They always have a delicious selection to choose from and I have never been disappointed. One of my favorite desserts is the selection of three scopes of sorbet. Very delicious! You will definitely be impressed and will this find this a cozy place to come back to, again and again.
 I feel I can speak for myself, my wife, and our three guests, that we had a wonderful dinner and a great time. We had multiple appetizers as well as entrées: pork, meatloaf, steak and pasta were the choices, all good ones. Everyone enjoyed their meals immensely. We had a beautiful, warm night to sit outside, which enhanced the experience, and our server was efficient and attentive. 
As usual the service was great. My entree was delicious, but my husband's was a big disappointment. He ordered the special fish, striped bass. The fish looked not too great and was surrounded by various greens. Very unusual for Convito. I believe that this is really the first time that this has happened. Nevertheless we will be back as it's one of our favorite restaurants.

Convito always has good food and excellent servers. We sat outside with most who at last night in perfect weather. Noice level not issue even with umbrellas reflecting sound. Service is tops. Prices have increased so entre above $30 for most fish and meat. Worth it for quality. Definitely will return again as always to have for nice dinner.
We dined on the patio at a table of our choice. We ordered 2 of the specials—duck with risotto, and trout with a fresh salad. We cleaned our plates! Our server was attentive and answered all our questions; our busboy kept our water glasses filled. We had a lovely evening.
We sat outside for a delicious lunch. We took advantage of the great weather . As always service was great and the food delicious . I had the trio salad plate and my friend had the crab cake sandwich . Great lunch!
Excellent good and service, great drinks properly made, lovely cozy ambiance, great location with lots of free parking! I meet friends here once a month to catch up Convito never disappoints!

Asked my Wilmette friend for a Sunday brunch destination and she only needed one word to answer=CONVITO. She was right on. Great choices, relaxed, serene service/mood, and delicious food.
Met with friends here for lunch. In addition to fabulous food, they have a deli filled with tempting g treats to take home for later.
