Coochie Island Beach Resort Restaurant

I recently stayed at this restaurant with my wife for the weekend and we plan on returning with our children next time. The rooms are more like a 3-star stay and a bit outdated, but we were still satisfied overall. The cafe had delicious breakfast and lunch options, and the restaurant had large servings at reasonable prices. We were surprised that the prices were comparable to the mainland. The staff and owners were all exceptional. The pool was nice and the island was great for walking and having picnics. Besides the resort's cafe and restaurant, there is a local fish and chip shop and a charming cafe called Red Rock that serves great coffee and meals. We will definitely return, especially...

Booked rooms for my cousins, what a disgrace, the kitchen, 1 teaspoon, nothing else, nothing worked, no food, the laundry? If that is what it was, empty room except for a wash trough, , no breakfast, old rooms, no doona covers, closed Tuesday, no clean towels for 3 days, rude woman that booked them in just left them standing while on her computer, room wasn’t very clean, no cloth to wipe the benches, didn’t matter because really was nothing to wash, $220.00 per night, I was on the Island with a friend and saw this myself, not hearsay, **** rip off, rude owners, needs a big clean up or clean out

We have just spent the weekend at the Coochiemudlo Island Resort and will definitely be returning. We knew from our research that the accommodation was basic so we packed a few of our own things. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by everything. The rooms were very clean and spacious, Cliff and Jacki were more than welcoming and the meals were top quality restaurant style. Pack some crockery and cutlery and fill an esky with yummies and you won't go wrong.

My husband and I just returned home after spending a weekend at this place. I could not find any faults. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the gardens are beautiful, the pool is lovely, and there is a great atmosphere. The food was delicious. I am looking forward to returning to this welcoming and friendly place. I must mention the exceptional staff, they are all incredible. I highly recommend this resort and can't wait to go back. An older resort that is being looked after well by the current staff. Very good customer service, friendly bar staff. Don 't expect to be staying at the Hilton, as I 'm sure most can work out from the price. Good family getaway not to far from Brisbane. Continental breakfast was as expected very basic, after reading some of the other reviews I 'm not sure what some people expect from a 'continental breakfast '. Very nice stay.

Have just spend 3 days and 2 nights here. Couldn't fault the place and the owners couldn't be more pleasant and helpful. As long as your not expecting 5 star this is your place it's very basic....older style. They have great meals and the best burgers I've tasted in a very long time. They have entertainment on a friday night wiith your meals and half price coctails. We loved the place. We'll be back.

Stayed in the beach house unit, absolutely loved it. So handy to the main foreshore, jetty and barge. Lovely complex with a very spacious unit. Excellent for relaxing. Only complaint were the flat pillows, the dining table in desperate need of repair due to the loose legs, and the tv sitting on a 4 legged table with 1 leg broken. Accident waiting to happen! Otherwise the resort was fantastic.

Coochie Resort is a charming sanctuary for both couples and families. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food, especially the burgers, was delicious. Open on Sunday after 6pm which is good as little else around, and staff. Genuine Kath and Kel experience.
