Tried this place for lunch on a weekday. Had the spicy basil lunch special. My wife had the pad Thai lunch special. Food was alright but to me, it's no different than other Thai places I've tried. The portions for lunch however are very little. It's much smaller compared to other places. It's good for a diet, but not good for those who are famished. We then ordered the fried banana (and asked them to hold the ice cream). I was hoping more of a banana that's breaded and fried. The banana here is cut into pieces and then wrapped in an egg roll shell and then fried. I was pretty disappointed. Horrible. I haven't even tried the food yet and I'm already writing the review. I came to pick up and they charge 45 c to use your card. I wasn't upset but just said I would be right back because I'm going to get cash. He huffs. I was steps away from my bank so no big deal for me! I get back and he proceeds to say that they pay more in fees to use cards. I told him I have my own business as well and I don't charge my customers to use a card and that it's just the cost of business. He then says it's petty of me!! I told him that it was so rude to get upset. I'm the customer and if I don't want to pay 45c and go get cash then why does that bother him! I'm blown away that he would think it's ok...
This place is a must try! Me and my dad came here for lunch after doing our errands. Their Tom kha Kai soup is the best! It's super creamy and it's something I can't compare to other Thai restaurants. Their crab Rangoon is also good I had to order another one. Lol. I love how everything we ordered here is worth it. Their customer service is amazing. I love their staff named Wa. He's very nice and helpful. Everything we asked from him, he did it quick and respectfully. This restaurant deserves more than 5 starts. Even though that we live 13 miles away from here, we're still planning on going back for more soon. Kudos to their cook/ chef for cooking a great meal. Cook on Thai is a hidden gem in the local area! My family and I adore traditional Thai cuisine, and it can be difficult to find an authentic option with a cozy atmosphere. I appreciate that you can customize the spice level of the dishes, and they are all incredibly tasty. The owner Jeff and his team provide excellent and quick service. As a fellow small business owner in the area, I have recommended Cook on Thai to our employees for lunch and for date night dinners with my husband. It's important to support our local businesses! You will definitely enjoy the food here. As for kid-friendliness, we have young children and have visited with relatives who also have young kids.

I recently had a mixed experience at this restaurant. While the food was okay, the service left something to be desired. Two servers were overheard talking about customers, forgetting to pick up an order, and speculating about whether the customer would return. When the customer did return, the servers were seen laughing amongst themselves. This whole situation made me feel uncomfortable. I ordered the pad thai, but found it to be too sweet for my liking.
Best new Thai restaurant in my opinion in the hills of Chino.The crew are friendly and professional so if you’re unsure of what to order, just ask.They’ll describe the ingredients and make recommendations that will have you going back for more.It’s a small space but don’t let that discourage you. To-go is always available.And unlike most CH’s establishments, it’s open until 9:30 pm.Enjoy
I discovered that there are cockroaches in this restaurant. The cashier even tried to hide one as it crawled across the counter, which was gross. Regardless of how delicious the food may be or how experienced the chef is, the presence of cockroaches is unacceptable. I am simply providing this information for you to make your own decision. Personally, I will not be eating here again.
The staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic! Our meals arrived promptly and our waiter was very accommodating when it came to selecting the level of spiciness. I will definitely be returning! There is a vegetarian option for almost every dish, and they were all delicious.

The food was delicious and seemed to be made with high-quality, fresh ingredients. We requested the dish to be mild, but it turned out to be too spicy for my mom's taste. However, my dad and I loved it. We definitely plan on returning to this restaurant.
I got the fresh role and pineapple fried rice. So good!
