This is an unpretentious and affordable Thai eatery that's perfect for a no frills, fab food experience. Quick service and quality food that gets you in and out without fuss. Not big on atmosphere, but who cares if you just want to scoff some yummy Thai food and move on? A great addition to a strip that offers lots of more expensive food options, Cool Thai keeps it real.
This humble little restaurant in the heart of the north hobart restaurant hub is easy to miss if you didn't know it was there. The service is fast and the food is fresh and tasty ... well spiced... and very inexpensive with an average of $13 per meal. The decor is plain, however the food makes up for any visual inadequacies.
We ordered take out from cool tai on a recommendation from a local, we waited a good 40 minutes for our dinner ( although they were really busy) we found the food to be more rice than anything else not much flavour and the little meat that was in it was a little tough

I went there with friends , tried three curries,all curries was delicious with fresh ingredients,extemely friendly staff.definately going to back again to again.
I was looking for traditional Thai food, as always, but this was more fast food and not as I was hoping for. The staff was very friendly, though.
Nice food, well priced, friendly service. Fresh vegetables in pad thai. Beef dish nice and spicy. Recommend for a quick meal or takeaway.
