Coombe Yarra Valley

Again it was a lovely experience. A beautiful day, beautiful surroundings, lovely atmosphere and excellent food cooked expertly. What we have come to expect but appreciate the consistency of quality hospitality. The Beetroot Sorbet was superb. Some experimental food is just plain weird but this was absolutely first rate in flavout, texture, colour, creaminess and a perfect contribution to the rest of the items in the Eton Mess. Well Done to all concerned.

We love visiting Coombes and we try and come every 3 weeks. The service and Staff are impeccable. They always greet us and are very polite and helpful. We had a lovely waitress yesterday named Alissa. We have had her before and she really went way above to make sure we were enjoying our visit. Gemma at the front desk is very lovely and professional. We always come back as we enjoy our visits.

We placed two orders for wine that was on your menu Sav only to be told they were not available not sure why you would have them on the menu FATHERS DAY WEEKEND IF THEY WERNT IN STOCK. We ordered numerous dishes sides but had to ask where the others were after we started our meal. Considering the cost I was a little disappointed

Overall I would rate Coombe Estate on the same level as Florentino’s in Melbourne or any top restaurant in Melbourne. The welcome greeting, Irene our wait person, the food, the amazing view, beautiful dining area were AAA top notch. Well done as usual. Booked high tea for a 90th celebration and really enjoyed all the food, drinks and the quietness of the restaurant for older family members who struggle with their hearing. Beautifully scenic venue and didn’t feel we were being rushed out, staff were offering drink top ups even though it was nearing closing time.

What an appropriate place to celebrate a 45th wedding anniversary with family. Excellent food in a not fussy or pretentious atmosphere. Highly recommended for that special occasion or just with someone you want to spoil.

Attended on Father’s Day. They were quite busy with many wait staff rushing past the table. Food was OK but not great. My soup was cold. Wine was excellent however!
