The food was amazing. Portions are very, very large. The waitress something... not necessarily rude, but was not very friendly. Everything we demanded or needed seemed uncomfortable. The pancakes are HUGE. Definitely recommend getting the short stack. The severity tasted phenomenal, but not as hot as we usually like. The chorizo burrito was large, tasteful and good value. The chicken for the chicken and waffles were absolutely delicious. We didn't get all our food together, and when the chicken and the waffles were there, we were done halfway, but they were worth waiting. Hand-baked perfection.
Great place to eat! Food portions are delicious and large worth the price. They guesstimated 40 minutes wait and we were at our table in 27. I like the text notifications. You know a quality restaurant when everything is efficient, once someone left their table it was clean and ready for the next guests in 30 to 60 seconds. Wait staff was fast friendly, the host did periodic rounds to see how soon tables would be available.
We stopped by Corky. Home Style kitchen to buy cookies. 6 for $18.00! I have a peanut butter cookie for Mom, a chocolate chip walnut and Macadamia nuts for me. My sister and niece have the other three. The restaurant was a bit dark for lunch when you asked me, but it was really cool. I saw the food on some plates and if I hadn't been shopping, I would have stayed for lunch.
Corkys kitchen has always been a favorite and they continue to peovide excellent service and wonderful food. Gave their fried chicken sandwich a go this last visit and enjoyed it. If you are not into spicy make sure you have them hold the sauce!! Of course we had to take home some of Corey's signature pie....so good.
Corky's food and service is usually quite good, but once in a while, depending on the cook you can end up with roasted hash brews. Sometimes the waitress call a waitress these crispy I call it carburized, I know the cook wouldn't eat it, why would they serve the customers?
