Absolutely disgusting experience. A real toxic environment. All staff were rude and every table needed clearing or was dirty. As we sat here we saw randomly different members of staff coming onto the floor and spending nearly 5 minutes each to clear pots off 1 table (a cup and a plate) and then disappear despite the tables next to it also having dirty pots and trays. Sensible thing would be to come out with a tray, spray and cloth to clear and wipe.. Which would take 1 person 5 minutes for whole space instead of 4 members of staff 20 minutes and not one of them wiped the tables. I have not visited every Costa location in the UK, but I can confidently say that this particular one is among the top ten worst branches. The staff, with the exception of a younger man with a ponytail, is unfriendly. The tables are rarely cleaned, the store is run-down and in need of renovation, and the manager is unpleasant. During the week of the Coronation, they were selling muffins that were identical to ones found at Lidl, but at a much higher price. This branch is in serious need of improvement.
Costa, if you actually cared about customer feedback (which seems unlikely), you would have addressed the issues with this messy and disrespectful establishment. The staff lack cleanliness and basic respect for customers. It's a total disgrace. If you choose to let this inept staff represent your brand, I suggest customers opt for Starbucks instead. Shame on you!
I’ve written a review of this branch of Costa before. I like Costa but quite frankly, this is the worst one I’ve been to in the UK and I’ve been to many! Most of the staff are friendly but two members of staff (younger girl with long dark hair and older, manager I think, with blond hair are both as miserable as sin! They do spoil this branch of Costa!

Order was completely wrong when I queried it I got dirty looks from staff and muttering comments between each other behind the counter! Awful customer service, usually go to the raven head retail park costa as a very loyal customer, will be sticking to my usual place from now on! Always have lovely staff on and a lovely atmosphere!
Absolutley shameless staff. The staff have been reported to the local police. To attack and verbally abuse a old lady, is not acceptable. What happend to customer service with nice helpful staff?
This is a very well run costa it a great location in St Helens we took advantage of a few different offers which they were able to sort out nice drinks ,sandwiches and cakes well worth a visit
Interesting about this place that as soon as anyone says anything negative about this place that people who have never contributed before suddenly pop up and give it a positive review.
