Cote Brasserie Sevenoaks

Dreadful experience from the momment we entered the restaurant. On entering on 24th December (Christmas Eve) at 10:00, no one said good morning or smiled. Had to stand there while one of the managers was tapping on his i-pad, he then turned around eventually, and said yes ! I replied saying I had booked a table for 2. He just checked his i-pad, didn 't say anything, just walked off, so we followed. He pointed to a table, and walked away. A young waiter came up to the table, again said nothing, other than do you want tea or coffee . We ordered our drinks, he said he would bring water to the table. I had ordered Early Grey tea, he brought the tea pot, and a cup and saucer, then asked, do you want milk with it to which I said yes. When I looked at my cup, I noticed it was dirty from it 's previous user. I caught the eye of another manager, and asked for a clean cup, he looked inside the cup, didn 't say a word, and walked away. After a couple of minutes, came to the table, plonked a repalcement cup on my saucer and said there you go ! Our breakfasts arrived, which were very tasty, so I cannot complain about the quality of the food, so full marks to the kitchen staff. We had toast with our breakfast, my wife asked for some more butter, as the small saucer initially given, only had a small amount of butter in it. After about 5 minutes, no butter had turned up. When I asked a waitress about the butter, she barked at us, that it would be coming when the kitchen get around to it and let the waiting staff know on thier i-pads. My wife said that wasn 't very good service, to which this particularly miserable waitress then started to argue with my wife, saying that the restaurant was very busy ? obviously, it was Christmas Eve. The still water never did arrive, so my wife asked a waiter for some. On looking around the restaurant, every other table was presented with a bottle water (Tap water) as they sat down. On leaving, as I was paying my bill, I told the waiter of my thoughts, he was surprised, and presumably had no concept of what good service should be. It seemed to me, their concept of the waiters role within Cote ' Brasserie, is just as transport between the kitchen and the diners table !!!! We use many restaurants, regularly throughout the year, for their food, and as importantly the ambience, and interaction and profesionalism of the staff. In conclusion, I would recommend to the senior directors of Cote ', to visit the various restaurants incognito, and monitor the performance of both managers, and staff.

Had booked, told no booking then they found under incorrect time. Restaurant was fairly empty, sat in an area by ourselves and when visited toilet realised how nice the other part of it was and there was atmosphere!!! Toilets absolutely disgusting, no way would we have stayed if had gone when we arrived. Lots of staff doing nothing. Our waitress was very pleasant but reached in front of people to put plates down and cleared plates before everyone was finished…not good training!!! I usually am a fan of Cote but certainly cannot recommend this branch and will not return.

Just a perfect Friday night for us. Been away over Xmas/new year but it’s nice to be back. The food was wonderful, service brilliant and just great to see new faces in the restaurant. Michael and Adele do just a wonderful job and we are just happy to have our Friday nights back on track- thank you.

Great food and service as always. This is a great spot in Sevenoaks any time of day. We have tried breakfast, lunch and dinner and it’s always to a high standard.

The service was ok but the food was the same quality as Weatherspoons. Steak was well done not medium rare and calamari was flavorless
