We were put on a wait list for a party of 7 (5 adults, 2 one year olds). We were told 20-25 mins and after 30 mins (and MANY people leaving) we checked where we were on the list and were told “there’s only one table we can seat a party of 7 with 2 high chairs and that table just got their meals”… 2 families that showed up well we continued to wait were seated before us… we checked again and were told “only one table can fit our party because of the 2 high chairs”… after waiting 40 mins we left. Advertised as family friend and unfortunately that was not true for us.
First time trying CC since Sodel took over, so I wasn't sure what to expect. We had an excellent meal! Service was good. Rum punch was SO tasty! Entrees were flavorful all 3 of us enjoyed them. I ordered 2 crab cakes, which comes with 2 sides, and the portion was generous. The mini muffins are just as good as I remember! And I am happy to say that my favorite dessert at CC, the rice pudding, did not disappoint! I've been coming to CC for years with my family and I will continue to do so.
After a long day of driving and boardwalk activities my family and I were very hungry. It was late and Cottage Cafe was open. We hate to be those people, but 8 of us sat down and received really great service from Emma and another server near closing time. Everyone was so nice and the food was AMAZING! Bonus for carrying my favorite NA Beer. We will be back for sure!
