Way too much smoke on the pulled pork but was moist. A hint of lighter fluid to boot which is pretty off putting on any BBQ. Sausage was good and not over smoked. Beans were good but sweet and not over smoked. Mac n cheese was a mistake for me. I opted for a mild BBQ sauce and the taste was ok but sweeter than it needed to be by a lot. Customer service was very good. I am probably at fault for ordering pulled pork at a Texas joint and not brisket but I am not really a fan of brisket. I've have BBQ all over the US and some in Texas has been bomb. My favorite hands down is at a place in Alabama but I had a miss there as well. I am a truck driver, so I definitely see lots of different food on the road.. this by far is the best barbecue I've had in a long time! It is delicious tasting, the brisket is tender and juicy, and their sauce is delicious! Not to mention the fact that macaroni and cheese is one of my favorite things to eat, they are spot on with this mac and cheese here! This will definitely be a go-to spot for me anytime I'm in the Mount Vernon area!Parking: Being a truck stop, they have parking on site.. you get 4 hours free parking as a truck driver, and then it's $10 for the next 24 hours.

I am only able to give this great tasting barbecue place 4 stars because of something slightly misleading on the menu. “BBQ plates” on the menu says it comes with 2 sides AND Texas toast. Well, I guess when you buy a sandwich plate you don’t get the toast. I find this pretty misleading considering it’s under “BBQ plates” with no fine print of “does not include Texas toast.” Other then that, it’s kinda pricey but tastes great.

Stopped by for supper and ordered a kid's meal and because my kid wasn't physically there with me, they refused service. I've ate here before and it was good. This is why I stopped by again. Not sure why the tall heavyset woman wouldn't sell me a meal this time. I have to get smaller meals for health reasons due to doctors recommendations. Service: Take out Reserva una mesa ahora

Love this place. The food and service here is great. It's pricey but it's really good. The only thing I don't like about being here is they charge for all the truck parking but at least it's only $10. Clean bathrooms. All kinds of different food items. Lots of trinkets and other items in the store. Great atmosphere. ?

Go ahead and wait on the people who just walked up. Don't worry me already waiting in line. I can afford to fast a night longer. Obviously. Service like yours really angers me. But in the end it's your business and you can refuse service to whomever.

Located in a Duke's gas station. Food looked promising but the brisket was all smoke and char, no real flavor. Sausage was bland and sides were nothing to rave about. Skip and go somewhere else.
