Cou-yon's Cajun -b-q

The BBQ was delicious! For the first dish, we had moist brisket, sausage, potato salad, and fried okra. The second dish featured a baked potato topped with fried shrimp, but I wasn't a fan of the shrimp—next time, I'll stick with the sausage. And let me tell you, the peach cobbler was extraordinary! Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures because we devoured it before we could get the camera out. A week later, we returned, and this time our first order included sausage and moist brisket with baked beans, which were incredibly tasty, along with a loaded potato casserole. Our second order was a ½ lb sausage sandwich paired with fried green beans, which have now become my new favorite vegeta...

We ate here yesterday. It did not disappoint. First, the staff were exceptional. Not only were they working hard, but they were so welcoming, helpful, and sweet. From the young lady who took our order and explained each step to Q who helped us purchase a bunch of gift cards for the training we are doing out here. Not only did she give us the 26 gift cards, but she took the time to put them in their sleeves and envelopes. Wow! Excellent service. Now for the food which we ate before we purchased the cards to make sure it was good. YUMMY! Their smoky BBQ sauce is amazing on their brisket, chicken, and turkey. Their baked potatoes are the largest I've ever seen. Their toppings were generous.

Second dish was roasted shrimp baked potatoes all the way (a fan of fried shrimps warns - next time I will try sausages). The Peach-Kobbler was there. No pictures because we ate it before the camera got out. We'll be back a week later. This was about #1 order was sausage and moist brisket w/ baked beans (super tasty) and loaded potato casserole. #2 order 1/2 lb sausage sandwich with fried green beans (new Fav Veggie). The shrimp and catfish étouffée was absolutely delicious! The food arrived quickly and was steaming hot. The portions are incredibly generous—I ate from just one plate and felt stuffed both times! I also tried a few bites of the brisket, and the flavor was simply amazing! Be sure to mix the sweet and smoky BBQ sauces they provide; it’s a must! The atmosphere inside is lively, but the staff is very efficient, and the tables are cleared promptly. The place was clean, and I will definitely be dining there again!

Wow! We discovered this gem after taking a wrong exit, and we were so lucky to find some of the best food in Baton Rouge. I totally cheated on my diet for the loaded shrimp potato, and it was enormous—so big that I could only manage to eat half of it! Overall, this place exceeded my expectations with its cleanliness, high-quality food, and outstanding customer service.

My wife and I stopped here while traveling to Texas, and we were really impressed with the food. She ordered the shrimp po’boy with potato salad, while I had the fish dinner with mac and cheese and potatoes with gravy. We also shared the sausage appetizer, and everything was excellent. We will definitely be back!

This is the best BBQ I've ever had in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. The atmosphere is friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious— you can't go wrong here. I had never tried a stuffed potato before, but it was fantastic!
