Waited a full hour for our meals, cafe was quite empty when we arrived but as we sat, it was evident we had sat In a space where the staff fear too tread as no one came to take out order as other later customers were having their orders taken... Anyway order taken it was a full hour before we got our lukewarm food... Used to be a lovely cafe this we were regular visitors before covid but definitely won't be visiting again, not even a sorry, no chicken, no pie...
Been going here once a week for a couple of years. Never disappointed. Quite an extensive choice on menu. My favourites are the Lancashire hot pot and the salad platters. The latter are very large and appetising. I notice that the majority of clientele, like myself, are pensioners and we know a good thing when we find one! It is nearly always full, sometimes a small wait is necessary. The prices are very reasonable and the waitstaff attentive and obliging.
We came across this little place by accident. We sat down with our wooden spoon that we were asked to place on our table, after a few minutes our waitress came over and took our order. The food arrived and was lovely and fresh and hot. Staff were very helpful and patient. Service was of an excellent standard and will use again when passing through St. Helens. Would recommend this place.
Bit like faulty towers told the waitress something was missing off my food she then SNATCHED the plate aggressively taking the plate away we waited 30 mins for food for it to be wrong I’m disgusted that as a paying customer to be treated this way the food is NOT cheap either very disappointed to say the least 28/09/19 Reserva una mesa ahora
My daughter and I love pea and ham soup. We now are ill and cannot ever look at soup again. This was the most disgusting soup I have EVER eaten. Please do now serve this to anyone again. BICARBONATE OF SODA SHOULD NEVER BE USED IN SOUP. Do you taste it beofre you serve?
Absolutely delicious food cooked fresh to order. Lovely friendly staff , nothing too much trouble, my daughter and I had ordered different food but both arrived together and both meals was perfect
Each time we've been we managed to get a table, had quick serice, food was lovely especially the pea and ham soup, even the breakfast was tasty... Will be visiting again.
Terrible service....should make sure you have a collect only service available. Never got my food but was charged anyway.....never order from these people Reserva una mesa ahora
