Today was the first time I visited this restaurant. I came here hoping to find the same j chicken I tasted a long time ago when an neighborhood auntie cooked some. I ordered j chicken with rice and beans (mixed with some kind of sauce). I was a dollar short, but the very gracious front desk person didn’t mind. Every time I come to this restaurant, I receive a small portion of meat. However, when a male family member orders for us, they receive a larger portion. It's disappointing because I live so close and walk by every day. I paid $16.70 for a small order and requested an additional oxtail and a half, but was charged extra for the half oxtail. When I asked for more oxtail, I was told no because another customer had already requested it, even though there were still two oxtails left in the tray behind the glass. I will not be purchasing from here again. The meat at the bottom right of the photo is not actually oxtail.
Everytime I come I get a small amount of meat BUT when a MALE in my family gets food for us they get MORE. Such a shame cause I live so close by and walk by every single day.. for 16.70 for a small order and to add 1 n half so I was only going to get 2 oxtail...I had to pay Extra for ONE OXTAIL AND A HALF. Why is this? Also when asking to pay for more then the one n half oxtail they told me NO cause another customer already called meanwhile there was about 2 oxtail left in
Ordered a couple oxtail meals. Received 6 pieces of oxtail in the large one in which 3 of 6 pieces was very small. To make things worst I paid almost $35 for ALL fat. It was my first time ordering and it will be my last. Customers should be able to give 0 stars. Update: Just tried the food and it's extremely disappointing. The only thing delectable was the plantain. The rice tastes stale and the oxtail is all fat and no flavor. Cabbage was ok.

This would be an absolute no for me again. Went here today and ordered some Jerk Chicken and Rice, Long story short the chicken was extremely dry then I realized they had reheated it in the microwave. I waited about 15 minutes for my food even after she had already made a bowl with rice and veggies. She took about 10 minutes in the back reheating the chicken. I don?t know how this place has 4 1/2 stars. Would not recommend at all.
Best escovitch snapper I have ever had and I have had many). Fish was juicy, just the right amount of seasoning and spiciness. Had it with roasted breadfruit, fried bammy and sweet plantains. The owners, Bobby and Karen make you feel welcome. Not as well known or glitzy as overrated The Door and others, but definitely worth the trip or call.
Kind and friendly service. The food tastes like someone?s mom made it?because she did! Some of the best roti and curry chicken I?ve had in ages. As other reviews said, the jerk chicken isn?t too spicy, but with the rice and peas it?s a great meal with lots of flavor that continues to build on your tongue.
Jerk chicken was delicious more spicy please though! and the bbq chicken was really really good. The rice and peas were good too and the cabbage. Please more plantain next time I was sad to have just 1 piece : friendly staff, cool vibe, good music. Great local spot, have a visit if you can.

I came craving j chicken but ended up getting some curry chicken roti which was absolutely delicious. Good size and price wasn't too bad. It came with a lot of chicken and potatoes.
Stop by to get some good cooking. Great place and awesome people.
