County Cider Company

We drove through the lovely county roads to get to this beautiful villa like restaurant with a gorgeous view out on the patio. The service was great and our early dinner turned out to be a wonderful and relaxing experience whilst enjoying our fresh food and cider. The cider flight is a great way to sample and we loved the pulled pork, "build your own" tacos we ordered to start. I realized I could have had the whole thing as a meal since portions are pretty generous here when we saw the burger and veggie burger that was ordered for our mains. The view is amazing and we had a lovely table and service was fairly good! Drinks were good and I especially enjoyed the pear cider. I was disappointed that I couldn't buy any to bring home as it was sold out till later in the week.The food was delicious! My salad with chicken was delicious! It had candied walnuts, mixed greens including some sliced Brussels sprouts, strawberries, blueberries and black berries( the best I've had in years). There was a little too much dressing but otherwise amazing and Glutenfree. The lamb sliders with salad were delicious as well!Highly recommend

The view is lovely from the patio. The pizzas that two of our party ordered were both very good. The pizza with the BBQ sauce base sounded odd but was in fact very tasty except for the odd bit of tough pulled pork. The trio of lamb sliders was excellent, the only off bit being the thinly sliced brussel sprouts which were too tough to eat. These appeared as well in the Cider House Salad which was otherwise excellent and the amount of chicken was generous. The service was friendly and efficient.

We got there 15-20 min before closing on a a Saturday early evening and we could not get them to let us try a tasting. Something about they couldn't, but they could describe the cider. Pretty lame as they should still have been open and maybe trying some customer service....we bought a few bottles as we heard they were good, but make sure you get there plenty early. I've never had cider before but now I know what I was missing. While visiting Picton we actually came here twice as I fell it love with the atmosphere on our first stop. I loved how we could purchase a flight (I believe it was called) and we could have a good sized sample of four different ciders. Needless to say......I brought some back home with me. Stop in for a relaxing and peaceful experience on the patio.

We came here for lunch on a Thursday and they were packed We luckily had a short wait and they sat the 9 of us quickly.
