The owners of the grocery store are absolutely delightful, and I really enjoy visiting. However, my experience at the café has been quite different. Just last week, I decided that I wouldn’t be purchasing coffee there anymore. The owner was rude to my elderly father when he visited last year, and since then, my visits have been uncomfortable. Despite being long-time customers in the neighborhood, we feel treated like strangers, or worse, like we aren’t welcome. Life can be challenging, but that doesn't justify poor treatment of customers. It’s disappointing to leave the café feeling less happy than when I arrived. This is the complete opposite of good customer service.
Tried to go in but there was a sign saying use the coffee shop entrance so I did only to be told after waiting in line I had to wait for 5 people who came in after me before the lady would even help me. I don't know what kind of backwoods business you are running but I'll never waste my time here again.
Extremely rude experience! I ordered a coffee and decided to buy some tarts from this place. After purchasing the tart, the lady actually asked me to leave or to buy more coffee. Seriously? Even if you don’t want me around, you could at least be polite about it! There’s no need to be so rude! Anyway.
I come here almost every day. The owners of the cafe and grocery store are beyond lovely and sweet. The pastries are delicious and the coffee is smooth too! This cafe is precious to the neighborhood and is a great place to visit after walking through Ravenna Park.

Lovely little local place. Fantastic pastries. The people who run it are SO NICE. Great place to sit outside and watch the park. Make sure to use the cafe door and not the grocery store entrance to get coffee.
The staff is extremely helpful, and the pastries at the café are outstanding. The grocery section also offers some unique items.
They’re a consistent positive presence in our neighborhood and the coffee is well done.
