I love this place bec they promote people to dance, even if a person has 3 left feet they offer lessons! I sometimes feel intimidated bec everyone is so good on their feet! The professional couples that dance make it look awesome! They make you want to learn they look so romantic! The food is what it is! They don't do fine dining that's OK! I’m an out-of-state regular and always have a good experience, however, the management needs to add more than one barmaid on Sundays! The last six times I was there, they had a full house and one barmaid. This is unfair to the customers, barmaid, and reduce the owner(s)maximum cash flow. 6/16/24 Update Crab Tavern is under new ownership and had improved for the better. Updated facility, lighting, and HVAC are welcome changes. Events seem little changed.
The food is good, you just have to know what menu items to order. I was disappointed that I paid $16 for a catfish platter, and it came with one skimpy piece of fish and they never asked what kind of bread I wanted they just gave me wheat.
We went for Valentine's Day. Celebrated an anniversary.The band was great. Karaoke was great. We served ourselves. Had a good time.
