The ambiance was decent, with a DJ playing music that was initially quite loud, though the owner had him turn it down after a while. The DJ did play some good tunes. The lights were dimmed, and they placed small lamps on the tables, which added a cute touch but made it difficult to see the food. At one point, another table turned on the ceiling fan light above them, and the other diners started laughing, agreeing that we all needed more light.
Our server was very sweet and accommodating. She seemed a bit overwhelmed, but every time she approached our table, she did so with a soft voice and a smile. However, the food took about an hour to arrive. The kids' meals came out first, so we watched...
I made a reservation and was seated right away, but after waiting for 45 minutes without anyone taking our order, I became frustrated. To make matters worse, there were people arguing and cursing at each other in the restaurant. I ended up walking out. This was an embarrassing experience for my boyfriend's birthday.
Crabbae Kenilworth has an amazing atmosphere with fantastic food! I either dine in or order from their Maplewood location, and it's always delicious! The staff and owner are very friendly, and I really enjoy the music that plays while I eat. I'm so glad we could help you celebrate your 3-year anniversary!
Recent reviews weren't great, but I am glad unwent with my own mind. The ladies who work there were very sweet, on point and attentive! The food was really good! I gad the honey salmon bites. They used quality salmon, great portion size. The honey jerk wings; AMAZING! Will be returning.

The atmosphere was superb! Food taste and quality was horrible! Oxtails and broccoli was flavorless but the mash potatoes was great! Food was well overpriced to not even had been able to enjoy it.

Great music and Great vibe and Great Staff. And the DJ definitely held it down with all the great choices of music.
Crab Bae was a vibe, from the service to the food I was not disappointed one bit. Looking forward to going again.
