Worse Cracker Barrel I have been to. I have visited this store two times in the last month. My first experience was horrible as well as this time. First time we were seated and then did not see the waitress for. 8 minutes then took another 6 minutes to get our drinks. Once we got our drinks we ordered the Southern fried chicken. 10 minutes later the waitress comes to the table and says it will be 15 minutes for the chicken to cook or I could order something else. I had my heart set on the fried chicken. It is my favorite. I ordered something else but was not happy with my choice because it was not what I wanted. My family and I arrived at Cracker Barrel on Wednesday at 9:00. We haven't seen our food until 10:00. When I finally got my breakfast at 10:00, I first saw my pancakes where burned, stiff, and had such a thick consistency. When I tasted my bacon, I could taste the stiffness in them. I knew they were sitting there long while the other food cooked. I was really disappointed to get my breakfast this way. I would have the time it took to cook it when the food tastes fresh. As a mother of three I wanted to go and eat with my family and be able to get a warm cozy meal. My men and children were given the same food there! we stopped during a busy evening meal, with a short 10 minutes waiting for space. the pictures I published are some of the elements that caught our attention during the waiting. our beautiful server was very sweet, and apologise that the new menu does not fully reflect. (She was gone from work because of the pandemic, she made my friend the best coffee! the friend even filled her thermos to go home. This place never disappoints. Yesterday it was said that it would wait 15-20 minutes. I think we waited 10 minutes. They told us it could take a while because they only had TW0 servers. We didn't wait for anything. Our server looked like 5-7 tables. She brought our breakfast (something was delicious.) She was so attentive. Can I wait for my next trip to Southern Pines. Even the manager was a superstar. We were brought to our table, my mother had back and neck surgery, and I myself had double knees, the manager saw us and told the hostess to put us on a table where we were. I honestly had never really eaten at Cracker Barrel much until this last December. Our family has decided that they love the breakfast food here. I also really like that they serve both Coke Zero and Cherry Coke. My kids love it and so do I. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the service is often slow. Usually they come around quickly, but take a while to get your order or after the food gets there they don?t visit the table for so long that you are left waiting for refills. It?s not a huge deal but it is a little annoying because it means we can?t go here unless we have an hour to eat.
Last time we were here a bad experience because we waited 10 minutes on a table and nobody waited for us so that we left. We were probably here this morning at 9:15. Service was so slow, my coffee cup was empty for a good time before the waitress filled it again. The restaurant was not busy so I feel we should be okay with the service, but service there was terrible slow. I hate to give 1 star, but this setup deserves it. Food was mediocre, cheap and reasonable, but we are there and I feel like the quality of food has also gone down.
The staff is very unfriendly. I greeted the host and said good morning her only response was only one? She walked me to my table and said here and left. Then I and my baby sat there for at least five minutes before someone, not our server finally came and took my order. The food was quick and hot thankfully. Only one server look happy to be working and have customers Emily kind of wish I would have sat in her section. Even the manager in the blue shirt doesn't look like she wants to be here.
