I’ve got my third update and the food just keeps getting better! The chicken and waffles, fried okra, and chicken-fried chicken are all fantastic. For my second update, I’m excited to share that it’s under new management! The original menu is back—thank you, Restaurant Gods! I encourage everyone to come by and support this fantastic local spot. The food is still amazing, and I found out the original cooks are still there! However, in my latest update, I have to say things have taken a turn for the worse. They no longer have fried okra or bacon jam? We were disappointed to find that the chicken-fried chicken had been removed from the menu as well, and the place was empty. It's such a letdo...
I found this restaurant by searching for "home cooking near me" on Google Maps. I decided to order the classic chicken breast along with fried okra and sweet potato casserole. The waiter was very friendly and attended to me right after I sat down. My food arrived about 10 minutes after I placed my order, and everything was delicious. The total for my meal was under $14, which I thought was a good deal. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Food was tasty. We had Mac and cheese bites, fruitty pebbles coated French toast, fried green tomatoes, chicken and waffles, and shrimp and grits. Prices were reasonable, every dish was well executed- crispy chicken, French toast and waffles. The waffles was sweet. The grits were a bit too creamy for my taste but flavor was good. Restaurant had a nice patio seating area and a garden
The food was enjoyable, but it felt a bit pricey for the portion sizes. The waffles were tasty, but be aware that they are already quite sweet on their own, without any syrup. We were recommended this place for breakfast, the service was great, the food was also good, I definitely recommend the fried cookies. It had a honey butter that was delicious! The avocado toast was fresh. The green tomatoes were crispy and fresh. I'd say this place is 6/10. I would recommend to try limited menu, but good for brunch
Delicious food and hands the best potatoes I've ever had. We ordered chicken chickens and the shrimp-po-boy sandwich. Both were delicious. Service was polite and fast. There were plenty of parking on the front and stairs plus wheelchair accessible ramp. There are so many great dishes on their menu, we cannot wait to go back.
