We drove 20 miles to pick up takeout from Crannag and it was definitely worth the drive. We ordered the confit duck and a veggie pizza, both of which were delicious. My husband kept commenting on how it felt like we were dining in a French restaurant, and he was spot on. If reopening in Bonar Bridge isn't feasible, opening a location in Golspie could be a great idea. The locals would surely appreciate it, and those traveling the NC 500 route would be thrilled to have a new dining option.
Staying in a holiday house in Dornoch, and the previous people in the house had recommended getting takeaway food from the Crannag Bistro in Bonar Bridge. It was a great recommendation we ordered food for 3 of us and it tasted fantastic. The prawn and strawberry salad was a highlight. Lovely people too, who obviously care. Thank you!
The restaurant is only operating on takeaway just now but it's still a fabulous meal that you take away with you The food is delicious but make sure to book your slot as they only do so much . If you fancy eating Al fresco I'd suggest popping over the bridge and eating at the picnic tables by the river
I ordered takeout and when I went to pick it up, the lady was very rude because I was 5 minutes early. The food was good and the man who brought it to my car was very pleasant. Perhaps the lady was having a bad day, but speaking to customers in that manner is not acceptable. Reserva una mesa ahora
We had a takeaway and the process, from placing the order until it was handed to us in the car, was very easy. The pizzas were very hot and really tasty. The cheesecake was probably the best we have eating, truly superb. We are going to order again before we go home .
I recently had another fantastic takeaway from this restaurant. The venison and pear dish was absolutely delicious, with tender and succulent meat. It's no surprise that this restaurant is ranked in the Top 10 in Inverness and the Highlands - it's well-deserved!
Homemade curry dish was truly special! Restaurant is currently closed and offering takeaways only on Th, Fr and Sat. Well organised collection, attractively packaged food and with safe collection at the time requested. Delicious as always. Thank you.

Crannag is only doing takeaway at the moment but don't let that put you off. The food was excellent proper high quality and very tasty. Was perfect for our first night in the area on holiday

"Liver and onions was creamy and tasty. This is a quiet small hotel restaurant and a very nice menu. The sticky toffee pudding was unfortunately store bought and just average but enjoy the main course."
