What an incredible little gem of a place. We were delighted to secure a last minute table for three on Christmas Eve, thank you Ailsa for squeezing us in. Everything was delicious, seriously delicious. I had the fish and chips which was really light, my daughter had a vegetarian burger and my partner had the haggis, all were perfect, the sauce with the haggis particularly so. We were full but so glad we had room for some desserts .... sticky toffee pudding was to die for and I've never seen or tasted a more impressive cheese board. We stopped at this restaurant on our way back from Aviemore and enjoyed some beers. I tried the Cairngorm Gold, which was delicious. The interior of the restaurant was nice, and there was plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy on a sunny day. The entrance to the pub was a bit confusing, with two doors. If you go up the stairs, you'll find the restaurant, while the back door leads to the bar and beer garden. Overall, it's a good pub and a great place for a quick stopover if you're in the area.
Had a great early evening drink here and could see how this would make a fantastic Apres Ski' venue in the cold winter months. A fine selection of cask ales with Punk IPA on keg. Well decked out with corrugated iron which helps to create the right ambience. Only one gripe the excellent menu finishes at around so we missed it. Finishing cooking a little later would mean we would have eaten and stayed much longer in this top bar.
We had dinner here last night and it was wonderful! The portions were a great size and the gentleman (who I believe was the bar manager) is absolutely fantastic! He is such a character and puts a smile on your face numerous times throughout your meal. Definitely stop in by! They also have a good selection of local Ales which is always fantastic.

The food here was very good and the portions were large. We got the chicken burger and the beef roast. The roast was massive and perfectly cooked and the chicken was charred just the right amount. The only thing I wasn't amazed with was the golden margarita, but they have plenty of good beers and other drinks to choose from.
Visited twice over a day visit. Great atmosphere.. really friendly staff and locals. Prices average for drinks. Lovely warm fire...now the fire starter is back . Ate here and food was lovely. Would recommend and hopefully will be back.

Tried many new things. The fish as a bit oily, the chips come in skinny and thick. Be sure to ask for what you really want. See photos.

Great waitstaff, short wait time for food, fun ambiance, delicious comfort food--I recommend the beef pie and house--cut chips.
Very friendly staff, limited menu when we visited but ill be reutning!
