My colleague and I dined at this restaurant on the weekend because it has always been her favorite spot in Canmore. We had a reservation for 6 pm. When we made the reservation online, there was a stipulation that we must show up 10 minutes prior to the time otherwise we could lose our booking. We arrived at 530 and walked up to the front of the restaurant where the hostess (manager) was standing. She seemed irritated that we were there early, and proceeded to tell us that we couldn 't come in early because her staff would be overwhelmed. My family went for an early dinner. We are visiting Banff and heard multiple recommendations. The price is a little upscale but what the heck, my family of 4 was celebrating all of our birthdays plus our anniversaryThe server was great. She even explained why the restaurant was named CRAZY WEED.My starter, roasted cauliflower was flavorful. My main dish, salmon was insane. This is the best salmon dish I had. My husband and I came here last weekend on our anniversary and it was the perfect place. Dinner was incredible, we had an order or the baba ghanoush fries to share, I got the pan seared coho Salmon, and my husband got the chipotle crusted bavette. We both really loved mine, the curry base with the crispiest salmon skin was really light but decadent, which I think I would recommend.Our waitress was really friendly and super on point, making sure to check in on us at all the right times.I hope we'll be able to come back for our next special occasion and try more from the menu.

READ OUR STORY. We went here because it was featured in you gotta eat here. Food was pretty good. Did wait an hour to be seated, then another half an hour to be served dinner. The prices are outrageous.When we were paying the bill I accidentally put in 100% tip then noticed the waitress quickly put the receipt faced down and scurried away. Excellent food and good cocktails but terrible service. When we first walked in we joined a few parties with reservations and we all were being ignored by the staff for several minutes. Sequencing of the dishes did not follow our request and we observed the same at other tables. Finally the waitress hovered while we were paying with our credit card and gave us a brusk farewell when we tipped only 18%.

This is now our #3 restaurant of all time! (Right behind Laser Wolf In New York and a place in Ireland) The food was generous, well seasoned, original and delicious! Staff friendly and attentive! They were serving by reservation only because they are short staffed like many, but our waiter was on it!

Absolutely amazing food. Every single item our entire group tried was fantastic. Great service, good atmosphere and food was amazing. Very high quality and flavourful. Well done Crazyweed! We'll be back again!
