two friends and myself visited this pub today for the first time. I was accompanied by my guide dog and my two companions were also severely visually impaired using white canes for mobility. The staff were just wonderful dealing with blind people. They were incredibly empathic and very helpful. Sam, one of the bar staff gave my guide dog 2 Boneo treats. The menu was read to us. Nikki helped myself and a friend in the right direction to the loos. And they even took the time and the trouble to walk us around to the bus, stop and cross me over to the bus stop on the other side of a very busy main road. I cannot praise Nikki and Sam enough. Met a friend for lunch and there were only a handful of customers in there....but it was nice and clean and the young guy serving was pleasant enough. We both ordered the pie....one of us had the chicken and ham and the other one had a steak and ale pie.....and both of them were well presented and very tasty!! The meal came within a reasonable amount of time and the guy came back to check everything was ok and if we wanted anything else. He also came back after our meal and asked again if we wanted or needed anything.....which believe me.....doesn't happen everywhere else!! So overall it was a very enjoyable lunch experience!
We like to drive around and find different places for lunch.. we have now found a new favourite! As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by the girl behind the bar who told us we could sit anywhere that wasn't already reserved. The place is stunning with gorgeous quirky decor with a great outdoor area too. Food was served piping hot and was delicious. We ordered the sharing nachos for starter with an added topping of BBQ pulled pork it came and it was huge could easily have done 3 people and the pulled pork was the best I've had. Thank you for a lovely experience, we will definitely be back x
The new outside area is great with several booths all with heaters and a large canopy heater area for larger tables. Drinks range has improved too. A great pub to watch the match with plenty of screens. Food looks good but haven’t sampled the new menu yet.

Staying here with my dog, storm, in our campervan. Had a great meal and a few drinks. Management and staff are very attentive and friendly. Most importantly, the place is fully dog friendly.
Too many dogs barking, waited an hour for the food, service was slow, needed twice as many staff Parking: Lots of spaces Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 Parking space: Plenty of parking
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit at The Cross House over the bank holiday weekend. Excellent food and drink with tremendous service. Will be back again soon!
