Rock and Roll History in Boston: The Boston Tea Party was a concert venue located first at 53 Berkeley Street in the South End neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The Boston Tea Party later relocated to 15 Lansdowne Street in the former site of competitor, the Ark, in Boston's Kenmore Square neighborhood, across the street from Fenway Park. It operated from 1967 to the end of 1970. Its closing was due in part to the increasing cost of hiring bands who were playing more and more at large outdoor festivals and arena rock concerts. The building that the club occupied at 15 Lansdowne Street later reopened multiple times as different clubs before becoming the Avalon in 1992. In 2007 Avalon and...

The service from folks at front of house to the bar was perfect, but I'll never come back here for a live show ever again. A rock show with hundreds of people and very poor ventilation. I went to this venue 13 years ago to see A Day to Remember with four other bands one afternoon and it was lit. I had no gas by the time the headliner played. The same exact thing happened tonight except this was a two-band set. The oxygen in the place was difficult to absorb by the time our headliner was 4 songs in. By song 8 I had to go step away to put water in my face. After I went back out there I was demonstrating such discomfort, leaning over with exhaustive breathing, the staff pulled me aside to get a...
Going to shows on Lansdowne st or original HOBs in Cambridge for years long enough that DOM was in his 30s but hey Who gives a fuk not corporate take over LIVE NATION ok so , recently with the new scan ticket system that didi not work for a P4Pyros show. after denied entry Only to have to go wait in hour long will call line to reissue ticket in cold rainy weather was not in my play book nor am I a 20 something which place is run by these day. HOUSE OF RULES aka Too bad but why the hell do I pay ticket fees if they are not printed mailed any more to begin with and these so called fees should be refunded as my time is money to wait in line miss opening act... I would have stayed in restaurant...
Just got in from the Saxon and Uriah Heep concert and I must say I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my time this evening at HOB.I've always been under the impression from reading other reviews that if you sneeze the wrong way they'll throw you out but I didn't see one ejection tonight, not a single rude staff member or any inebriated fans.We had tickets on the 3rd floor and the seating up there was extremely comfortable with great sightlines and plenty of room.If your hesitant like I was about going here try and be open minded!I will DEFINITELY be back again for another show in the future! The one thing I would say is that it did get a little stuffy so some extra airflow would be n... I visited this restaurant yesterday to get out of the heat before the baseball game at Fenway Park. I would not have stepped in if it were not for the employees gesturing me over. The street was crowded and I was a bit distracted. Once I entered the live music and the friendly servers were a breathe of fresh air. We were quickly seated and our order came out from the kitchen in no time. We didn't order much but the drinks were really good and the Mac and cheese was tasty. The French fries were hot and crisp and our wings were also really good. My only complaint is the floors in the basement were wet and although our waiter was super nice we had to wait quite a long time to get our check and...
Visited House of Blues to see Jazmine Sullivan in concert. I'm a huge fan and I just didn't feel the venue did her music justice. We also waited outside (in the cold) for a really long time which felt more like a venue choice. The sound at the venue was ok but could've been much more amplified. I bought VIP general admission tickets and immediately regretted it. The standing area was super crowded which made me a bit uncomfortable. The drinks were good, better than other music venues in Boston and priced around $15. A decent venue but I definitely won't purchase general admin at House of Blues
So when you buy a ticket you pick seats, when the eticket shows up its general admission standing only, super deceptive. And someone booked a jazz trio to open for Echo and the bunnymen. Are you kidding me? At least vaguely match the genre! I'm sure they ate good but if i wanted jazz i wouldn't be at a new wave 80's concert. This is ridiculous. Never coming here again
We stopped in for a drink after the Red Sox game on a Sunday. The building is really cool and the wood work at the bar was very detailed and cool. I ordered the Blood Orange Mezcal, which was very good! It was a large portion and the waitress was great. The drink was $15.50 with all taxes, which was not a bad price since the portion size was like having two drinks. Reserva una mesa ahora
I went to a concert here and it was great. The workers made the check in process quick and the inside is the building was absolutely beautiful. There were option ms for food and drinks as well which is always nice to see. I was very pleased with my experience here.
