Crown Cafe is absolutely lovely! My fiancé and I visited the Watertown library and decided to have lunch at Crown Cafe on a Friday. Sepehr, our server, was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, providing attentive service to everyone in the café. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, and they were wonderfully fluffy and delicious! Normally, I'm not a big pancake fan, but these were homemade and truly exceptional. They also have a regular saffron rice pudding and feature a different dessert each week. This week, I had the walnut cake, which was larger and denser than I expected, but incredibly delicious. There was also a strawberry dessert with gelatin.
The saffron rice pudding is available on their regular menu. As for the coffee, it was robust and excellent, and as someone who grinds my own beans, I can be quite picky about it. I was pleasantly surprised when the owner mentioned that my coffee was complimentary because I ordered dessert, especially since I had already enjoyed my coffee before making the dessert decision.

Been going there since the nineties with various owners. Today, January 26th, stopped in to check out the “new” Crown. What got me first was how bright it was. It has a new look. Used to be dreary but now it’s nice and bright. It looks like a different place. The food was excellent. My wife and I had breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. They also have new menus which you can actually read without a flashlight. Great place.
Really good breakfast. Sunny side with Cheddar. I wasn't even sure how it would be, but I did an amazing job. Try my friends pancakes and completely soft and gentle and tasty. Very nice friendly service and food came out immediately. It was great. Also- great prices especially post pandemic when other places all their prices clinked. Thank you. Enough to eat something.

I usually don’t write reviews unless I’m really impressed or very disappointed. Thankfully, Crown Cafe never lets me down. The food tastes like it was made at home, and you can tell someone is cooking with love in the kitchen!
Favorite place for brunch! The bean soup is delicious. Nothing tastes like commercial food. Everything on the menu is fresh and homemade!! Very affordable and family run. Can’t wait to visit again.
