Crystal's Country Diner

While we have bought carry-out from Crystal's, on Friday nights, during the pandemic, we had never eaten inside before. (This might be a good time to mention that we really, REALLY, like her fish on Fridays; Hubby is a catfish aficionado, while I am happy with cod. She offers both. Today, Hubby and I ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They were absolutely delicious and so hot that we had to blow on them to cool them down. This is an superb dish that could be the center of a gourmet menu with a unique dip or dressing such as a roasted red pepper balsamic reduction or even pico de gallo. My wife and I stopped in here Sunday morning for breakfast. This is the first time that I've had this local establishment. I've heard good things I've always wanted to try it and we finally got an opportunity to go. I got the good old country breakfast with the bacon and eggs and biscuits and I must say it was fantastic. The atmosphere was great it's no longer a smoking restaurant so that helps out a lot too. And we both enjoyed our food very much so and we will be back

I had a nice cup of coffee with a really good sausage and cheese omelette and fried potatoes, that also came with a huge biscuit. My wife had a juicy cheeseburger with fries. She was nice enough to give me a bite of her cheeseburger, and it was delicious. The service was great. When they brought the food out, it was almost too hot to eat, so you know it had just come off of the stove. Next time we are in Mt Washington, we will definitely stop in again.

I'm glad it's there. Soon, there won't be none. And, if these people weren't sure if their products. They wouldn't open. Experience it. And, leave a good tip. NO! Tip with your heaet. Not the calculated in your call phone. Loved this place! Last time just had a Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwich. Lefty cooked it for me. I don't know a soul in the place! Crystals Dine. 6 mles. My dear friend was verbally accosted in front of her children at Crystal 's Country Diner when the owner illegally asked for papers on her daughter 's service dog. He was clearly identified by his service animal vest. Both the owner and an employee yelled at her demanding papers. Must be unfamiliar with customer service and compliance with ADA guidelines. -Posted by a friend I know this family and that is a service dog.

Like others mention, the food is good (the potatoes could use some flavor), but the service is slow. Not a knock on anyone. Everyone was trying their best to keep up with the crowd, but it should be quicker than waiting 43 minutes for my order at a diner. Pictured is the #1 breakfast platter.

The food is good and the atmosphere is as well. We have on occasion had to wait a long time for our order, which was very disappointing. Worth a try. For the record, my wife loves the pancakes.

Great country cooking! Just like I learned to cook. Liver was a bit chewy, but that could just be the cut of meat.
