We made the huge mistake of dining at his restaraunt for Mother's Day .... We have eaten here in the past as we are locals and it has always been just ok .... There was 7 of us including 2 children , we did not order starters as we know from previous experience the food is always very slow , so we all ordered pizzas .... We arrived at 6pm , ordered at 6.10 and our pizzas did not arrive until 1 hour and 15 mins later ....... That was fine , we understand this does happen ..but when I brought this up with the owner she only offered us 20% off the total bill which we thought was not anywhere near good enough . I suggested that as we had to wait 1.15 mins for a pizza this wasn't good enough .......
Left this morning before we could even order. We were seated by a lovely young girl who set out our menus and went to take an outside table order, my partner and I were ready to order and he approached the counter to ask if we could place the order the young girl behind the counter then remarked "It's called table service" in a highly rude manner! This is unacceptable and disgusting customer service to speak this way to a customer. Immediately we walked out and requested she speak to people with respect in future. A group of friends went here on a busy Saturday night (pre booked). We were seated outside on the veranda (recommended). This restaurant is licensed and BYO wine only. We ordered our meals and the wait was a little longer than we would have liked and all meals came to the table together. We had ordered steaks, a pasta dish and a salad dish. All our steaks were cooked to perfection and all meals were delicious. We ordered two desserts - photo of Creme caramel attached - and these were also delicious. We ordered takeaway tonight and were very disappointed with what we received, the quality and value for money was well below average. The 'salad' was basically one large tomato cut into approx 12 slices with a tiny bit of boccocini and basil. The risotto was ok but hardly worth the almost $25 price tag for the quantity and quality. We called to express our disappointment and were pretty much snubbed by the owner who was rude and denied anything could have possibly been wrong, even stating that they have never had a complaint in 11 years...well, we can see a few on here and will certainly not be recommending this place to friends or family. I so wanted to love this restaurant, but no. I was so hungry when we arrived that unfortunately I ate my meal along with drinking the full bottle of water provided because the food tasted salty. Big mistake, 2 hours later my tongue feels shrivelled up, my husband also. I like well seasoned food but this was ridiculous. Not worth the prices charged. Don't think I would bother for a second visit. The supposed steamed vegetables were dreadful, like a side order of fried onions, capsicum and not much else and not at all cooked through. I gave a 3 rating because the waitress was nice and the place tried to be a local friendly restaurant and hadn't tried any other dishes to be fair.
Dinner with my husband on a week night. Service was good with helpful suggestions and alternatives offered. Decided on Veal Scallopini for me and enjoyed every mouthful. My husband chose something not on the menu - Veal Marsala and there was no hesitation in saying the Chef would make it for us.The veal was tender and the sauce flavour was excellent.The restaurant is located behind a petrol station but don't be put off by this. The food was really good.
This fabulous Italian restaurant is located amidst a group of shops and a petrol station - but don't let that put you off. The family owned restaurant serves rich, authentic pastas, pizzas and awesome steaks. It has never let us down but it can get super busy so ensure you book. And it's BYO wine! You can sit outside on their pretty balcony or inside and you always leave feeling very very full! Highly recommended.
Took my elderly parents here the other night. Food was great and I felt the service was really good considering how busy they were on a Tuesday night. They managed my quite demanding and even sometimes rude elderly parents very well which I am very grateful for Fantastic atmosphere with great food and lovely staff. Went for family dinner and service was poor. Ordered meals and they were quite disgusting, the veg looked like something you get from a frozen mix veg bag. We were very disappointed and will never return or recommend to anyone. And the price we paid for it was a joke for such rubbish.
