Customs House Restaurant

My family and I came here last Saturday for dinner. Where we were seated had the best views of the Story Bridge, it was nice as the sun set. The service was excellent, all the waiters were really kind helpful!! I was a bit disappointed as it was hard to find a vegan meal. I definitely understand that majority of people who eat at fine-dining restaurants consume meat and dairy, however I think it would be beneficial for the menu to at least have some sides without cheese. I am not a super strict vegan and occasionally have cheese or a some non-vegan cake when we go out but I do prefer to eat no animal products. But! I shall not dwell on the negatives. I loved the stunning outdoor dining experience here, with the river views, the Story Bridge illuminated at night and gentle summer breezes making it the perfect place for a special night (you can also sit inside). In the grounds of the historic Customs House the seating was comfortable and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. I had the gnocchi which I really enjoyed and my friends said they were very happy with their meals. This is the ideal place to take a visitor to Brisbane to show them our fabulous laid back river life, plus know that the food will be great.

Had lunch with good view of Brisbane riverside. I love the dinning atmosphere here- so relaxing and casual with attentive and very friendly service. Love the calamari entree especially - calamari was soft and the salad was refreshing. Great experience and love this place! Reserva una mesa ahora

I enjoyed a lovely high tea at Customs House on the weekend. The sandwiches were yummy, coffee was good and the sweets were okay. The service was exceptional. I loved the view of the Brisbane river while having high tea. Stunning!

Nice ambience, very friendly and helpful staffs. I ordered the scallop for entree which was the best dish of the meal. Though pork cheek, duck breast, eye fillet and chocolate lava cake were not much to my liking.

Good views, atmosphere and attentive service. The mains were slightly disappointing compared to the entree. UQ students get 15% off, which is a pretty good deal.
