Da Edoardo Grosse Pointe

I will start off with atmosphere. Its very relaxing and had a wonderful time. Ranging from the decor/lighting/seating arrangement. I always forget to take pictures mostly because enjoying the time. The lighting is darker which is nice and have perfect amount of lighting over the table. Music plays just loud enough that other conversations are nulled but the conversation at the table is heard perfectly. Service is perfect. Food is perfect, definitely layers of flavor that come through. Such as the spicy calamari. Best I have had. You have a creamy sauce which is sweet/hint of salt and compliments the dish. Then you get hit with a nice sour from the hot pepper which gives takes it to the next...

Absolutely love this place it is one of our favorite restaurants. We have been coming for years now. We spend all of our special occasions here. Unfortunately we were disappointed in our last visit. It was on a Saturday and we do understand that it can get busy but the reservation was made 2 weeks in advance. When we got there we got seated right by the entry door next to the hostess desk. We asked if any other table was available and they said no we even offered to wait for another table to open up then they proceeded to tell us the wait would be an hour and 45 minutes. It wasn’t a big deal until 2 to 3 parties of 2 just like us came in 20 minutes after us and were seated in the main room....

Let me tell you a little story. I grew up in Grosse Pointe and went to a lot of the restaurants in the area. But for some reason, I never went to Da Edoardo. When I closed on my first house outside of GP, my realtor got my wife and I a gift card to Da Edoardo as a thank you. Getting that gift card might have been more valuable to me than getting our house. The first time I ate here, I was genuinely mad it took me so long to try it. It is my go-to spot now for any celebratory dinner. Sure, it isn't cheap, but it is definitely worth the money. This 44oz Creekstone Farms Prime Porterhouse is accompanied by a generous selection of salad, soup, pasta, potatoes, and vegetables enough to feed a family of four. The chef expertly seasons and sears the steak to perfection, creating a mouthwatering experience. My 10 year old son and I shared this delectable feast cooked to a medium rare perfection, and it truly stands out as one of the best steaks we've ever had. 10/10, one of the best meals I've ever had. Wish I could remember my waitress' name, but she was incredibly natural and experienced. I had the veal and my friend had the bolognese lasagna. Both of them were totally out of this world. I will be coming back.
