When in a tourist town, one always becomes suspicious of the quality of their restaurants! Da Mitchou is situated between the road and the beach, and it really is a gorgeous place to sit and enjoy the view! As usual we went out for dinner with a list of restaurant names with a good score from Tripadvisor. Some were empty, some closed, but Da Mitchoulooked very inviting. We were early for dinner, so asked if we could come in for a pre dinner drink. We were seated at the very last table available out on almost the side of the restaurant in front of the showers. We ordered our delicious favourite french drink, a Pastis on ice. They also brought us some complimentary pizza bread which was yummy....
We were looking for a mid afternon bite to eat and Chris (he is the one that looks like Russell Brand) at Da Mitchou said they only had small plates but he recommended that other restaurants are open continuously - we decided to look for a place with a full menu. Well, much t our disappointment, we were treated very poorly at La Dolce Vita with a waiter/barperson rolling his eyes when he brought the menu. it was truly an inconvenience for him!! We went back to Da Mitchou and ordered wine and Foie Gras-it was AMAZING!! Not only that but we were treated so well and Chris was always checking to make sure we were OK. Had a medium entrecote (and its like **** in sweden). It was perfect and the sidedish aswell. Its tasted as it was coal grilled. The entrecote is very large so it could be split in two :). All family loved their dishes aswell. One of my children took the The schnitzel / fried chicken w fries wich was her favourite (after that she always wants to eat her). Best dinner ive ate in menton so far (ive been here for 20 weeks total in vacation last 20 years) and im very glad i found this restaurant thanks to tripadvisor. I forgot that restaurant visits could be an awesome food experience not just to get filled w food.
We were in Menton for 4 days and discovered this place on the first night. It was so good that we went back two further times. The portions are very generous, especially the delicious pizzas and the meat dishes and the food is reasonably priced . I loved the "mitchou " pizza, it was so big that I didn't finish it! The entrecôte was delicious too with a lovely 'sauce poivre'. If you take a pizza you probably won't need dessert, but I took the lemon meringue tart on one occasion and it was very good. Service is fast and friendly too. Worth a visit !

This is an amazing beach restaurant/bar with sunbeds right onto the beach. The family that run Da Mitchou are always very welcoming and it has a really friendly atmosphere.We've been here for the last 6 years or so during weekend breaks in Menton and it is always great to come to Da Mitchou.It's definitely worth booking at lunchtime - especially Saturdays and Sundays when a lot of locals come down with big family groups.The food is excellent - lots of Italian cuisine and they do amazing salads.Highly recommended!
Really one of the very best places in Menton. Great food, exceptional service and very very kids and family friendly. Really on the beach. As it is one of the very few good restaurants in Menton, the locals know and frequent it. Think to reserve.
Fun staff, fab food & amazing location on the beach! Large glasss of prosecco were very welcome! The staff are so friendly & welcming!
Excellent restaurant and beech facilities. All the staff Connor be more friendly and helpful. We visited every day of our holiday.

Nice place in a very good location close by the sea. The service is very efficient and friendly and the kitchen is very good.
Delicious food and warm, caring service. So helpful and such fun people work here. Don't miss desserts and excellent paella.
