As for the mac and cheese, I really wished it had that crispy, baked crust on top—the kind that offers a satisfying crunch from the noodles that got baked without cheese. Nonetheless, it was still delicious. The brisket was exceptional—tender, well-seasoned, and cut thick. You could taste the flavor from the wood-fired grill. Please don’t be shy about piling up the portions! If the collard greens make a mess, so be it. If the mac and cheese spills over into my greens, I’m all for it—it's meant to be enjoyed that way! I’ve been visiting this place, which serves exclusively smoked BBQ, since the COVID pandemic began, and I’ve never experienced anything less than the best BBQ. The owners are incredibly friendly too! Recently, I tried a piece of the pork rib (the end piece) that completely changed my perception of pork ribs. It had the perfect flavor and texture—it was absolutely mind-blowing! I even saved half of it for later. Right now, I'm in a food coma and glued to my couch. Honestly, do yourself a favor and check this place out. I promise you’ll be glad you did!
Oh my goodness!!! I popped in right after they closed but they still allowed me to order. I got beef ribs. I had several errands to run so by the time I was able to eat, my food was cold. The food was so good even cold! Potato salad was homemade with freshcut seasonings! The greens were well seasoned as well!!! I figure if it?s this good cold, once I warm it up ????! I highlyrecommend for true yummy BBQ! The ribs are so good they don?t even need bbq sauce! I was surprised by the price, but it?s beentough to find quality and tasty food.
Really nice brisket, but the menu is quite pricey. The photo has a pulled pork sandwich $13 and a 2 meat meal for $25 and the mac'n'cheese is $3 extra. The brisket stood out as the hero, and the meat was so soft I had no problems giving it to my 18-monthold. Everything else was good, just not great. I ordered the tri-tip with mac and cheese and beans. The meat was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor! The portions for the sides were generous, so they definitely don't skimp on serving sizes. The mac and cheese was a bit mushy but still tasty. The beans were fantastic! Overall, I was very satisfied and will definitely return to try other meats.
The portion sizes were generous. The ribs were incredibly tender, falling right off the bone, and the brisket was delightfully thick. The yams were perfectly balanced, not overly sweet. I do wish they had cornbread to accompany the greens. The chef even came out to check on us, which was a nice touch. I will definitely be returning!
