Dagwoods Cafe - Reservar una mesa

For a bicycle tour we stayed at Dagwoods Cafe on Goldstream Ave in Langford for a cold drink and a snack. It is an eclectic decorated small coffee sandwich café recently offering beer and wine that is a beautiful bonus over most coffee cafés. There is an outdoor terrace with umbrellas available for the shade and with bicycle locks and it is great for me if I can relax and enjoy more with my bike there. Your home coffee is from 'The Stick' in Sooke, of which we are familiar and enjoy their coffee. There were no ice cream selections on the menu, but the owner/operator who served us was happy to make me one, and even melted some sugar for me to have my favorite taste. My friend and I visited this café to get ice cream coffee. We were initially informed rudely by the manager that she had only enough coffee to make one (even if we had not complained about it at all), we ordered one with milk and vanilla. When she finished making coffee, she came to the time and charged us $6.56 for a single icey coffee. I saw the menu to see if a price was posted and she snapped “it is the price of milk and vanilla”. Anyway, I'm not going to visit a café with rude staff and coffee more than Starbucks.

A few months ago, my girlfriend found a long blonde hair in her food. She has long black hair. I have short brown hair. The manager said it couldn't have come. What? Does she think we brought it in? No credit or refund. When it first opened, I eat regularly there. After this incident wasn't back.

In this Covid era we are all looking for a great place for high-quality take-out food and Dagwoods fulfills this bill beautifully. For a lunch trip we ordered four different sandwiches and were all excellent. Service was also timely and friendly. We're going back.

Great sandwiches served with small salad. Great coffee. 7 cyclists converging at once with one employee. She made everything herself and made fresh coffee. Will return.
