I'm not much of a Chinese cuisine person, I prefer Japanese for the most part. However, this place is ranked highly for a reason. My husband and I went there for lunch and got their lunch special roughly 12$ per person. I got the shrimp in lobster sauce with steamed rice, an egg roll, and wonton soup. The soup was perfect, I don't like egg rolls but my husband loved it, and the lobster sauce was just incredible. My family and I absolutely love this place! They recently opened their restaurant, and it is truly amazing. While the vegan and vegetarian options aren't part of the lunch special, if you order them on their own, you'll definitely get your money's worth! One dish can easily feed 3-4 people (just ask for extra white rice), and they provide plenty of tofu and vegetables. I ordered the Szechwan tofu with steamed rice, and it was both sweet and spicy—I highly recommend it! You can get 3-4 meals out of that dish. This is a fantastic spot for family and friends, even those who aren't vegetarian.
I've only had this take-out, but the food has always been fresh and delicious, especially the rice. Take-out rice is often dry, but not at Dai Tung. It's moist and fluffy. I don't really like fried foods much either, so I end up ordering a shrimp meal in a sauce. I have have 3-4 different ones, and they have all been delicious. Update: Finally ate dine-in for lunch. It was delicious! Update..... dined in for dinner. Loved it!
The menu is extensive, and the prices are reasonable considering the generous portions you receive. I've visited three times, and the food has consistently been excellent! As a suggestion for improvement, it would be great if they could renovate the restaurant to match the ambiance of their Mission location. The current decor appears quite outdated and lacks appeal.

I celebrated my birthday with six friends and had a fantastic experience. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the prices were reasonable given the current inflation situation. I hadn't visited since before the COVID restrictions, and I’m so glad to have returned. Thank you, Martin, for your wonderful service! We will definitely be back!
Every single time I go to daitung it is always so good. The best place to get authentic Chinese food in the valley. My boyfriend and I frequently get dinner here. The plates are also very well served. Everytime we go, we always get the steamed dumplings it's a must. The service is great too.
My boyfriend took me here yesterday, and it was a lovely experience. The restaurant has a cozy feel, and while it may seem a bit small with only a few additional touches, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I couldn't finish my shrimp lo mein noodles because they were so filling!
This place is worth a shot if you love Chinese food! Went last week with a friend and we had the special. Their special is very fulfilling, comes with a few sides. The best part is that it'd only around $8. I am definitely going back more regularly to this restaurant.

Great hot and sour soup. The crab puffs are dynamite! My chicken and cashews could use more cashews, but I love cashews!
