Daikokuya Monterey Park

Has the recipe for the spicy miso ramen changed? This used to be a 5-star review for me. However, in the past 6 months or so, the spicy miso ramen has been altered. I used to absolutely love the original version - it was my favorite ramen by far. I still visit the restaurant often in hopes that the old flavor will make a comeback, but unfortunately, it has not. On the bright side, the little salad and mixed poke bowl are still delicious. I remain optimistic that the old recipe will eventually return; otherwise, I may have to search for a new favorite ramen. The attached photo shows how the old spicy miso ramen used to look. I miss it.

My first time when I tried here, it was 10 years ago. This place has been here for a long time, and that proves how decent the food is. But I really wish they remodeled the inside because the bathroom is really bad, and the inside is really tight and small. Food wise, I recommend trying food on the menu other than ramen. I usually get takoyaki, sausage, or karaage, and I'm always happy with it.

For those seeking authentic Japanese ramen, look no further than Daikoku Ramen. The soup had the perfect flavor and the noodles were delightfully chewy. The half-boiled egg added the perfect touch. We also tried the chicken karaage and donkatsu, both were crispy and juicy. The staff clearly values food quality and service. The restaurant had a great atmosphere. Highly recommend this place.

The restaurant offered a variety of flavorful dishes. The spicy miso ramen was especially impressive, with a noticeable kick to it. The fried rice was tasty, although it was slightly soft in texture. The gyoza was decent. I also enjoyed a Sapporo draft beer, which was served in a unique brass cup. Personally, I would have preferred it in a classic frosted mug. Reserva una mesa ahora

Came back after 11 months. I had to edit my review because the food was so much better today than the last time I was here. It tasted the same when I used to come here years ago. (This was my review 11 months ago) The service was awesome. The food smelled a little stale, and it tasted bland. Kind of how leftovers taste.

The best taken I have ever had, so flavorful. The quantity was so much I could not finish it all. Fantastic Ramen and the cashier pork was also suppppeeerrr delicious. I wish they had a bigger location as it only sits like 20 people and had to stand in the cold for 25 min waiting for a party of 3

Some reason today the main daikokuya ramen is not good Soup tastes bad, and remen noodles are not cooked well. My favorite boil egg was overcooked Today, the best food was chicken karaage. Tonkatus was okok Geso age oil is not fresh

I order take out after 39 minutes I asked where my order was at because 3 people that order after me had taken off already with their order. They tell I’m sorry we lost your ticket 52 minutes later my soup is finally given to me. Reserva una mesa ahora

The good, the ramen and the fried rice is top notch. The bad depending on the server you might have to remind them what is missing. Small dining area bar top seems larger area than table, outside seating available.

The Spicy Miso Ramen Pork cutlet combination is amazing! Make sure you are hungry or expect to share, because it's a good sized portion.
