Daintree Ice Cream Company

This ice cream company is a real education. They have their fruit trees numbered and a takeaway list is available at the ice cream counter with the description of the fruit trees, as well as a description of the fruit it bears. We loved wandering through the orchard, which was well maintained, checking out different fruit trees.Equally, if not more delightful, was purchasing the ice creams of the day. The day we visited the ice creams of the day mix was wattleseed, chocolate sapote, coconut and soursop. There are gluten free and dairy free options available as well. My friend and I are massive ice cream lovers so this place was already on our must-do list, and it didn't disappoint. You get 4 scoops of different ice creams, and while you don't get to choose the flavours, this turned out to be a good thing as it means you get to try flavours you wouldn't usually go for. The ice cream was simply delicious and made the store-bought stuff taste ordinary in comparison. It's also very reasonably priced at $7.50 for 4 scoops. The setting is beautiful, although we didn't get a chance to look around the orchards.

We noticed this place on our way to Cape Tribulation and marked it to stop by on the way home. So glad we did! A gorgeous setting and some incredible ice cream, with flavours you've probably never had before! For $7.50 you get four scoops of whatever is on the menu that day (it changes regularly). I never thought I'd eat soursop ice cream or wattleseed and black sapote! The lady behind the counter was so friendly and incredibly informative. There's gorgeous gardens, too. Please do not miss dropping in here - you won't regret it!

Absolutely delicious! You're presented with four flavours in a pre-made cup, at first I was disappointed I couldn't pick but it turned out to be way better! My favourite was passionfruit, probably best I've ate. The setting is also lovely and there are other little things to buy like Daintree Tea and Dried Mango. Reserva una mesa ahora

Didn't like the fact you had to buy a pot of all 3 flavours ! What if I only wanted one or two ? Or had a small appetite and didn't want a huge pot with 4 scoops in ? Although the ice creamWas nice , I didn't like the fact I had to choices!

Don't miss this place! Sample four wonderful flavours made from fruit grown on the property. Also see the fruit trees growing. Friendly, professional service. Very reasonably priced. A great experience for everyone.

Stopped on our way home and loved sitting under the large fruit trees eating the delicious homemade, natural fruit flavoured icecream. a great way to complete our Cape Tribulation visit.
