Dakara Sushi - Reservar una mesa

They used to be great, but now they are now just mediocre. Mind you I do not eat sushi. I walk in, and it is just me. I go to the counter because I do not want to take up a table. Rudely I am told that the counter is reserved. Ok, fine. I'll take a coveted table for four then. My son texts me his to go order. He is one word off of his normal sushi order crispy spicy tuna he meant crispy RICE spicy tuna. I tried ordering it like he told me and the same lady practically yelled at me that there was no such thing. I told her I would get back to her since it was a to go order anyway. Like I said, I do not eat sushi. I got the correct order. Put that rice in between the crispy and spicy. He wanted...

Excellent place for sushi. Hole in the wall in Whittier area. We are lucky to live 5 min away. Staff and friendly and attentive. I believe the chef owns the business. We generally order shrimp dumplings, chili edamame, rainbow role, snow crab, king crab (when they have it), ceviche, eel, and tea. Food is delish. We only have sushi from 2 places in LA/OC. This is one of them. The other is in Gardena. Food always on point and fresh! A little pricey, but good quality. Great job to the staff who get extremely busy during dinner.

Dakara Sushi is a great hole in the wall restaurant! Although I've only had their Chicken teriyaki and tempura combo, my bf and daughter who order sushi, they love eating here too. I live almost 30 minutes away from Dakara and even with the high gas prices, I wouldn't hesitate the chance to eat there. The clientele there seems to be a lot of local people and it's always crowded. It' seems to be a family run business with the same attentive servers. If you're in the area, this is a definite place to try.

Love the sushi here!! They have good quality fish and you can taste the freshness. We live near Uptown Whittier and drive to East Whittier to have sushi at Dakara. There are closer sushi places but they don't compare to this place. Hands down the best sushi in town!!

Soooo yummy! Their sushi is so good. Their teriyaki chicken is also very good. Every time we've been it's been a good experience. The only downside is that they have weird hours. So call before you head out. They just might be closed for the day.

I went here on the recommendation of a good friend and was not disappointed. The sushi chef/owner was very personable and took me on a fantastic Omakase journey! I highly recommend this spot and the prices were amazing!

Really good quality sushi. The dakara roll and baked crab roll are both good, albeit on the small side.

Man, chicken quality was very poor, teriyaki sauce was mediocre. Not coming here agian.
