Dalvay By The Sea Restaurant

Beautiful hotel, beautiful location, beautiful dining room, even the food was beautifully presented. And the food was good, but for the cost, I expected more professional service. The wait staff is very young and inexperienced although nice and efficient.We had to ask for pepper for the salad, had to give my drink order twice, ask for the bread, wasn't offered a taste of the wine before being poured; small stuff, for sure, but when dinner costs over $200 for two, you have a certain level of expectation, at least I do. And reserve your table for 8:00 pm or later if you're not into young kids and breaking water glasses.

We had an intimate dinner at a table overlooking Dalvay Lake. Their dinner menu is small and largely oriented towards seafood. Given that this is a big fishing region, it makes sense. However, we both had the glazed chicken. It had dried tomatoes, spinach and (ready for this)! deviled cashews. It was arguably the best dinner I have ever had.

Four of us went for drive hoping for High Tea. Didn't know that you need to book a reservation 12 hours in advance so we had a late lunch. Fish Tacos, pulled pork, lobster crab roll and a burger. All very good. Fries were hot and fresh and with nice seasoning. Sticky date pudding is awesome.

While visiting PEI, we were in the area at lunch time and stopped in for a very pleasant dining experience. Three of us had the Fish Tacos and one had the Seafood Chowder. All were ecellent and well served. We will definitely make this a must for a meal upon any return visit to PEI. Reserva una mesa ahora

We stopped by a bit randomly to discover a nice hotel and had a delicious and sophisticated lunch with great desserts in a charming restaurant by a lake. More expensive than alternatives in the PEI National Parc but well worth it. In fact, would deserve a special trip.
