Dame's Chicken And Waffles

Honestly an establishment in Greensboro. Best source for chicken and waffles in the state. If you are an A&T and Bennett College student must go at least once. Chicken at times is over seasoned and cooked by the unique smears make up for it. Parking can be a challenge at times but is an easy walk from NC A&T, Bennett College, Downtown Greensboro and the train station. Not far from a pretty sketchy part of Greensboro but this has never posed any issues. Will usually be a wait.

The staff were quick and attentive. The food was fresh and extremely tasty. The location is really cool; the building looks like it should be in New Orleans. Inside there are paintings of famous singers and jazz musicians that lean into the New Orleans vibe. I’ve been to all 3 Dame’s Chicken and Waffles restaurant locations and I think the look of this one is the coolest. The food is equally as good as the other locations.

Dame's is a win win situation. I started with a mimosa while I waited for my Sassy shrimp grits with a salted caramel waffle with vanilla almond smear...chef's kiss The servers were very accommodating. Service was A1. Food was good enough to give 5 stars. I almost never finish my shrimp grits but baybee I cleaned the bowl left crumbs from my waffle. I'll be back. Thank you
