We went to eat at German damien following a good I had bought on Qoqa.ch at the same price of 389.- including a welcome aperitif, menu 9 dishes, cheeses, a bottle of 75cl of water and coffees. the decoration is cold and minimalist, the reception was bad, no smiles and a constant stress of the different servers running everywhere. We didn't even have a server attached to our table. the bottle of water was brought to us without being able to choose gas or not, and we had to claim the welcome drink that consisted of a glass of slitting! during a trip with my wife, we went to dg to enjoy its 5-course surprise menu. It was my third time at dg (1st to ardon, then at a nap.) my impressions are always mixed as to where I find a little cold and too airy (the tables are distant between them, but nothing separates them, it lacks a bit of intimidation.) this Thursday evening, we were only 3 couples, it was a little empty. past these few details, the service was excellent, friendly and coming. very friendly and warm welcome by the chef himself without a chichi and in any relax. menu 4 delicious and varied dishes. very beautiful associations and beautiful presentation. quite correct portions. the frame may seem a little cold at the beginning but the distance from the tables allows to discuss without disturbing its neighbour or following their discussions. service can be improved. the server was certainly new but the art of service has some identical rules in our countries. Only flat of the meal. Nice attention during dessert for the person who celebrated his birthday. Although it was announced it was a very nice surprise and dessert was like the succulent dishes. At first we were a bit surprised when the restaurant is in a residential area. The staff was very friendly, but their English knowledge was volatile. (I think the English-speaking employees were a little fun in the poor boy who had the most limited knowledge and sent him to us). The dinner was delicious, creative and the presentation was also spectacular and organized in every detail. We really liked the small details and surprises in the dishes, the cook obviusly like the cheerful game with the textures and taste. Dinner in general was much better than a star restaurant, which I tried in the past throughout Europe. Unfortunately we drove by car, so we didn't have the chance to try the wine... following the very positive and very negative feedback of other tripadvisor travelers, we decided to try this gastro which apparel does not unanimously. and for us unfortunately big disappointment. the choice of the inexsitant and very limited map. our guests were also very disappointed. small and not really gastro. the flavours not very sought after, almost banal....dommmage because the price is there... it is really gastro. No food card, okay, but you still have to let the customer choose. The decor is very cold and the speed service. excellent wines. We won't go back!
We went to German damien after having purchased an offer on a site.Despite that we were treated as ordinary customers (some restaurants put you a little aside, here it is not the case). We went there in a week in a hollow period, there was almost only us in the restaurant, which was a little... disturbing. The products offered were seasons and very good even if there was a little bit of madness. We made the choice to accompany each dish with wine and the chords were very well found and the correct prices. We'll probably be back.
We were really surprised !!! The place is not looks like something extraordinary : 0 floor in office building. Also, I think Sion is not place where people could wait to meet such place ! Menu is secret You just can choose between quantity of dishes from 1 to 9. No explanation, non even name ! I have ordered 9! Including 2 deserts . No one of dishes was middle !!! Each of them was masterpiece of culinary Excellent! Bravo ! Find a time to visit this place and trust chief , sure you will be more then double satisfied!
surprise menu at noon at the restaurant with fine foods and wines but served in small quantities. little on the plates and very little in the glasses!. dried and unmeanable tomato bread but excellent butter!
