Dandy's Artisan Ice Cream

I would give this place zero stars if that was a possibility. I went once and ordered a vegan cone and was given a paper cup; maybe that is supposed to be funny?! When I asked what flavors were vegan one of the ones I was told was vegan had honey in it so I was skeptical they knew what vegan means. I had the worst stomach issues that night and the next day so I wonder if whatever I had was not actually vegan. Several months later I decided to go back and give the place a second try. I called 30 minutes before I showed up to ask for a pint to be packed so I could just pick it up. They said it would be 10 minutes and when I showed up 30 minutes later it still wasn 't packed. Every time I come I’m a bit more disappointed with the vegan options. The vegan base tastes way too coconuty it always overpowers whatever it’s in and the gel like consistency has a weird mouth feel. I had cookies and cream tonight and my partner had regular cookies and cream. Theirs tasted good like cookies and cream, mine tasted like chemicals. I had the chocolate orange last time and all I could taste was orange rind, no chocolate at all I’m assuming it just had too much orange flavour added.Also they never have gluten free waffle cones, I’d suggest not even offering it at this point.

This was our first trip to Dandy's for an evening treat. The ice cream was very good. So many flavours to choose from, and so many toppings and syrups to try. Everyone was very happy with the choices they made, the flavour of their ice-cream, and were planning what their next combination would be when they came back. Staff were very friendly and patient as we figured out what our crew of 6 wanted. Good value too. Highly recommend that you check them out!

I had the coconut ash ice cream as a sundae with coconut whipped cream. Quite sweet and very satisfying. The presentation is also very stylish. I also appreciate the fact that they offer a vegan cone option.

Dandy's offers top-notch ice cream, and I can't get enough of their triple chocolate fudge brownie and salted caramel flavors. Beat the heat and treat yourself to some delicious ice cream at Dandy's!
