We arrived in Caen with 4 adults and 2 children, hungry and tired. But this is France, so the food should be good no matter where we chose for dinner, right. Not so, especially for the children. Kid's menu of one choice, very grisly beef and roasted potatoes with no ketchup available and no salt--really tough on American kids. The amuse bouche was excellent and gave us hope for the rest of the meal. My gazpacho was a watery watermelon juice with a few bits of tomato. The other's of the party choice of salmon was ok, nothing special. We were all very conscious of minimal seasonings and lack of salt and we are normally very light ingestors of salt. Bar sympathique par son ambiance, et accueil. Les cocktails sont vraiment pas mal (pour en avoir essayé plusieurs..). En revanche un peu déçue par la planche de charcuteries/fromages, pour le prix c'est très basique.... nous allons nous contenter d'un verre pour les prochaines fois. Aussi attention, si vous venez en petit groupe, la terrasse vite bondée!
We chose this bar of the many in the area because it was broadcasting the NBA highlights of the day. A great for us Westerners. The place had a retro 70's vibe which was really cool. The music was on point with a mix of all different cultures. Recommend stopping in for a quick drink. Wet didn't order any food so no comment there.
